Yeah but it would still be a great thing to see make it ingame.
Whenever you take a hit or crash the entire thing should shake and when you turbo and reach a reasonable speed it should rumble a little depending on the quality of the ship. Or for player customization make it so that players can buy new parts like a better radar (lets you see farther in storms), advanced com systems (lets you listen in on all the chatting going on in the system no matter where it is unless you're in a storm). Maybe the devs could come up with some other creative things if they decided to put it in.

I am a guy who likes customizationa a lot why becuase of bragging rights and indivduality so more things that can be customized the more reason to go out a brag you don't want to have the same ship (Aesthetics purposes) as the next guy you want to ride around in space with your own unique ship showing off to every who sees you, and hunting down any one who scratches your ride so I fully support any customizable part or addition.

Next best thing is skinning. Try to make your own HUD skin in the meantime, or use one of a few well made ones by the community.

Sadly I dont know how to make my own skins. Even sadder, I dont know how to get skins to work unless they come with installers or they automatiacally go to the right folders.
