So, this thread is intended to bring together all the current suggestions for where you would like to see more Badges appear in the game. Mining, combat, trading. Badges for Dynamic Warfare are a pretty obvious one (and we are tracking some stats for that, with that in mind). Badges for piracy (?).. killing Behemoths or killing Greyhounds, or whatever.

I'm going to be away most of next week, so in the meantime, feel free to add your Badge ideas in here. If the ideas already have their own threads, then please link to those threads (with some sort of description before the link, like the New Ships / Addons thread).

Badges are not difficult to add, as long as it's a stat we're already tracking, or can easily track (if the stat is tough to track, then all bets are off, of course). We have a lot more stats than we have badges, so there are quite a few I can add. Plus, any existing stat makes it really easy to add more levels of badges, like for people like Ecka who mine more than anyone else in the game.

So, let the suggestions begin, I'll check back in a week or so.

[NOTE: for anyone who didn't use the internet in 2003, and doesn't know what the thread title is all about, see here.]

"Irritating Wanker" badge, must be voted on/approved by 2/3 of the active paying community.

Plus grayspace-nation specific badges, like "Orion Master Prospector" and "TPG Master Trader" and such. Plus those could be stepping-stones to becoming members of these grayspace nations.

Or perhaps just a certain number of total mute votes... but do we really *want* anybody else actively trying to earn that badge?

More combat badges for sure. Do we have any besides the Hive hunter and PK medals? Traders and miners have enough to work with, give us fighters something to do ;)

@ Surbius regarding mining and trading: Wouldn't it be more beneficial (or rather, appropriate) to have the more advanced badges rely on profit instead of cu? Either way, though, I approve.

Good suggestions from Surbius, Pointsman and Touriaus.

I'd also suggest that ribbons or badges for military achievements from the dynamic conflict in Deneb should be developed when that is fully up and running. Perhaps based on numbers of successful skirmishes played or number of opposing vessels of different types destroyed .

Ok, seriously, I get the muting/peytros badge thing, har har ;). Let's move forward with more useful badges, please. If the signal-to-noise ratio of this thread gets too bad, I'm less likely to see the more useful ideas.
