2nd Day after Exile
Daltas Hold, Xang Xi Barracks Station, Sedina System

*hic* So here I am. All the other corporations had cast me out of the Union. Well, not completely true. My former employer, Orion, still maintained high respect for me. After all, I had been their scapegoat and gone along with it. It had just cost me my life, my career, my friends and family. No biggy to a huge conglomerate like the Orion Heavy Manufacturers. I was practically chased out with missiles after the Exile hearing. I mean, what the hell!? I couldn't even say goodbye to anybody before, not that anyone I knew wouldn't rather spit in my face than hug me at this point. Even my mother, who I've ben there for above all else. The nerve of that woman! I support her during her questionable acts and I don't even get the same in return, even when I didn't do a thing,

So, I am basically kill on sight with the Union, the Itani shun me and the Serco see little use for my particular skills. This left Grey Space and the breakaway Corporations. I would always be able to dock at a Orion station and get things practically for free, but never could I work in the Corporation that made up a lot of the UIT. Thus, I started moving off in search of a job. and I wanted to travel a bit. I always heard Sedina was bustling with activity. So I headed over. My first impressions of Sedina were "Bleh". The grey sky was dull and unappealing. And it seemed quiet as an early morning back on Catequil. That's a whole other story, for another time. As is my mother, and my exile, and my past life and...

Well, Time to log off. I've been stripped of all my licenses by the "benevolent" Union. Trading through the black market and TPG was easy enough. Now I need to pack my ship and head off to clear out a sector of the Hive. If I'm lucky, I'll do it in few hours. My zero License Level in all things combat related will guarantee the hours and not minutes part. Toodles for now.

3rd Day after Exile
Daltas Hold, Xang Xi Barracks Station, Sedina System

Well, writing this now, I can look outside the wondow to my crappy ass room and see the hourly Serco Purified Xithricite Convoy moving out. An assortment of bots, all under the power of the Serco remote controllers back at Catequil, all with the singular purpose of delivering refined Xithricite Ore for the purpose of making the precious Neutron Blaster Mark III. I stared at the bots and thought back depressingly. That damn Hive. It's gotten smarter, or, at least, that's what I've heard.

All day yesterday I was busting my hump. Okay, not really. I went out into a Bastion and killed an Overseer. Lucky me. After a few Assault and Guardian deaths, I went back to the station where they reviewed my videorecorder for the mission. They were... impressed. A mechanic with little to no combat training actually took down Overseers and Assaults. I'm happy they didn't review how many times I had to eject and return to the station. >_>

I tried taking down a queen today. I was doing great too. I had it on the ropes, fires spewing from it's guts! And then, the Guardians turned around. Not to shoot me, I really wish they had. They were repairing the queen. I came back and kept unloading my payloads of Yellow Jackets and Stingrays, but the queen had been repaired a full 40% by the time I came back. No use to continue. S, here I am. Staring at the bots of the Serco Convoy as I stopped on the table, depressed. I spied a bottle.

"Come here, Mr Orion Rum! You're my bestest buddy, ya know that? I wuv you so much *hic* You'll never leave my side, like those ingrates called family and friends." Sadly, I proceeded to hug the bottle and glow with affection. Oh well, this embarassed feeling is nothing a little o' Orion Rum can't fix!

Nickname is.... gah, lemme just put his general info up. hould've done this today anyway. He's human, damnit. -.-;

Callsign: Miles Tails Prowler
Name: Miles James Smith
Age: 19
Birthday: April 13th, 4414
Birthplace: Fenhall Mining, Azek System
Eye Color: Red (Nanite induced)
Hair Color: Red (Also, nanite induced)
Gender: Male
Height: 5' 7"

General Info:

Miles is a loner, enjoying the company of rum and broken ships than other people. That is not to say that he isn't helpful, but he doesn't go out of his way to do so. As such, he doesn't attack people or fly combat, usually. He is a shy go-getter in the field of mechanics and usually keeps quiet unless he's some rum (he really can't hold it down well). He prefers to leave his ships the bare dull metallic grey that they come in, citing no reason to change it.

Backstory:

He is a "lower class" worker, raised by his parents, who were both mechanics. During his childhood at Fenhall, he wandered around the station and interacted with his enviorment, always trying to figure out why things worked. At the age of seven, he wandered into a docking bay of the sleepy mining station and came upon a Goverment Issue EC-88 that would not fly. While the adults argued around him, he climbed into the ship unoticed and observed the inside. he noticed a panel loose and observed the pulsing cables. He knew this was the ship's main router junction and began to fiddle with it. A few minutes later, the ship started up, startling the adults outside. When they came in to see little Miles by the junction, reworking the cables, they stared with shock. A young man (an avid Old Earth fanatic), commented on an obscure cartoon, referring to a young avid mechanic in it. Hence the nickname.

He was apprenticed at age thriteen by the station's Chief Mechanic and became a journeyman at age seventeen. He was leading the typical, dull life of a young Orion employee when a company failing at the Fenhall station was pinned on him, the result leading him to exile.

Its hard to take you seriously when you've styled the callsign after a Sonic character (an annoying one at that)
Jan 25, 2006 MSKanaka link
I don't think the character is meant to be taken seriously at all times. Have you even seen some of the stuff the character does ingame? It's hilarious ^^;
Jan 25, 2006 moldyman link
ehe. It started as a comical sonic alt. No, he's not to be taken seriously. Which, frankly, is part of his rp. "Why won't they listen to me ;_; *hic*" :)

What are you talking about UncleDave? Tails is AWESOME!!!!
Jan 26, 2006 jexkerome link
If I remember correctly from some badly translated japanese articles about the Sonic X cartoon, Tails is gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that (if that's who you are) but it's still rather odd, considering the target audience.
Jan 26, 2006 MSKanaka link
Perhaps there is a reason that it's called Sonic "X", then? >_>

6th Day after Exile
Remley Orbital, TPG Commercial Station, Latos System

Well, after a few days of working to get my licenses up and killing some Hive scum, I decided I needed a break. Flying combat is tough on my meek mechanic self. I fix things, I'm not that good at breaking them. So I slinked back to Remley orbital. I was enjoying myelf, spending a large amount of what I had earned at the kazo tables. (Kazo is... how could I put it, like dice and an old card game put together. Takes more skill then luck). Unfortunately, I had neither skill nor luck.

I had blown fifty grand at the tables, bested by a man named Ostello Koshan from Dau. I could've sworn I recognized him from somewhere, but I couldn't put when. I know it was when I was transfered to Dau for my Exile hearings. Meh. Anyway, I was slouched and walking away with my head hung low when I was yanked and dragged by two brutes. I tried to fight back before I noticed the huge TPG emblems embroidered on their jackets. And so, security locked my poor ass in a cell. I don't know what they're talking about! My Exile only pertains to Union spaace, I can walk as freely as I want on this station.

Bastards. A gilded society, gilded i say! Nothing but a thin sheet of golden prosperity to cover the true situation of most people in the Union! This is how they treat all their citizens, with no respect for their... hey! What are you doing?! Back off, man... I said *crash* *scuffle* *thud*

*different voice* I guess we'll have to erase this... *CLICK*

Blade just happened to be taking a cruise around station when he noticed TPG security bagging a man for no reason he could disern. So, being his suspicion self, he followed them down the the security cells, and hid in the shadows as the men headed out of the hall. Just as he was about to go check things out, some different men rushed past him, opened the door, and he heard some scuffling, a moan, and someone saying "I guess we'll have to erase this.."

A moment later, the men stepped out of the security cell holding the man up, but they were NOT TPG officials. He sighed, looked like another backwards deal going on to him, and he really hated this kind of shit. He walked over to the two man, "Put him down, and leave. I don't want to deal with you two little shits." They pulled out their guns and leveled them at him, but within the space of a second, he was gone.

In actuality, Blade had used his neural spike to make the men think he no longer stood there, when he actually did. He pulled out his gun, set it on 'stun', and shot both of the men in the chest, before pulling the unconcious prisoner up into a fireman's carry, and taking him to some empty quarters. He put the man on the floor, sat crossed legged by the wall, and wait for the guy to wake up.

8th Day after Exile
Helios IIi Orbital, Aelous Barracks Station, Helios System

Um, just three tiny words: WHAT THE HELL!?!? Gah. I leave Union space for a little over a week and I'm smack dab in the midle of a scene in "The Dark Rat" (A good conspiracy movie if you haven't seen it. Check it out at Remley). Last thing I remember, the TPG thugs were hitting me with stun batons for my PDS. Then I wake up in some room, occupied by a guy sitting in a croner with a bandana around his head. My eyes bulged, I got up and ran for the door....

And, knockout number two happened. Door - 1, Me - Ow. Apparently the damn thing opens IN, not OUT. Damn backwards TPG... So, anyway, that's the second time I was knocked unconcious. I wake up, presumably hours later, with a splitting headache. This time it wasn't the dull grey cheapass room. It was all just white. Except for the guy sitting there. Again. I must've had temporary amnesia or something cuz my eyes bulged and....

Door & Wall - 2, Me - Ow! Oh god, it hurts...

He must've gotten fed up after this, cuz I woke up in the room again, but he wasn't there. All that was left was a note with some info, contact and otherwise. My eyes bulged....

Door, Wall & Support Beam - 3, Me- Make it stop.... PLEASE...!

Anyway, after waking up for the third time. I cautiously walked out and to he docking bay. I needed to get somewhere remote quickly. I didn't want to run into anyone. Not this guy (whoever he is), not the TPG thugs, not the Union Strike Forces... nobody. And this station was a remote outpost. Why not here? Anyway, lemme get off the voice comm. Doctors are gonna give me another "test".

*Fainter, but still the same voice* "Morphine Doc"

*silence*

*loud screams and curses from the same voice.*

*Another voice* "See? Not painful at all. And you wanted morphine..."

22nd Day after Exile
Daltas Hold, Xang Xi Barracks Station, Sedina L-2

This feeling... it's odd. They tell me this is what it's like to be sober. Everything seems so... different. Sorry for the cliche, but that's how everything seems with my booze: a bunch of cliches and roles filled. I mean, you have that man eating guy, captured by the Itani. It's plastered all over the news. The media harps on it like the fate of the war depended on that one trial. I don't know, though. It all seems like that Corporate trial I saw as a child. BioCom execs were implicated in money laundering to the Serco. A big huff was made about it. Critics said, "It's the end of Union morality AS WE KNOW IT! What next, huh? HUH!?" Okay, I exaggerate.

But, ya know, it's something like that. A celebrity event. The execs had a public trial with crying itani parents, claiming their children were bombed with the money BioCom gave the Serco, traders complaining of Serco funded pirates, etc. A big uproar. The verdict was done in private, per Union law. Everyone thought they'd see them in jail. But, no. The execs walked out the front door without restraints on. Several months later, it had been squeezed out of a clerk (ie bribed out) that the execs had otten a slap on the wrist and some hefty fines. Nothing BioCom couldn't make up for in the next quarter.

Speaking of economic quarters, the report for Orion is coming up soon. I should book a stay at that Orion station in Latos for the duration. Damn Xang Xi, not willing to wire me in to the Galactic Network channel...

Speaking of Xang Xi, I'm back in Sedina after being in the hospital. That's why i have this huge bandage wrapped around my head and one eye. And also why I can't drink. "Doctor' s orders". What a quack.... I should...

Wow. I think waaaaaaaay too much when sober...
