THE SEVENTH TUBE RACE
RULES
1) Ships allowed: any stock Centurion or Vulture up to and including MkIII.
2) Weaponry allowed: any non-ammo.
3) Races: ten races total, two per Sedina track tube but "The Maze".
4) Winner: each one of the ten races awards points to pilots. Pilot standing is totalled at the end of the ten races.
5) Points: from 1st place down, 10, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1. Arriving seventh or later, dying, being killed, or ending out of the tubes yield 0 (zero) points.
6) Prizes: 3M, 2M and 1M to the first three pilots in the final standings.

Sedina system, Friday 21:00GMT. We will use five tracks (all but G5), but the exact sequence will be chosen only when the group is ready to race

Once again, Jestatis Bess threw in 2M to raise the sponsor prizes. Thank you Jess.
We had only four racers, mostly because the Tube Race happened right after a very intense (and fun) capship battle in Sedina B8, so players were distracted by it. Well, the more events the better, actually, even if I'd prefer to reduce the overlap to a minimum.
We used all five sectors (B, D, E, F and H), leaving out the Maze. Still thinking that the Maze can be used only when there are exclusively veterans in the rooster.
The racers:
Mick (UIT/PA), definitely the tube pilot to beat.
Maiz Man (UIT/PA), very quick track racer.
Ecka Estenk (UIT/TGFT), the only player known to have mined out an asteroid. :)
Elbryon (itani/ITAN), his first race, but very promising.
The results:
Mick: 1, 1, DNS, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1: 90 pts - first place, 4M
Maiz: 2, 2, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2: 66 pts - second place, 2.5M
Ecka: 3, 3, 2, 4, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4: 37 pts - third place, 1.5M
Elbr: 4, 4, 3, 3, 4, 4, 3, 3, 3, 3: 36 pts
The standings may suggest a very boring event, but on the contrary the gaps were actually quite small. Mick didn't start the third lap (D5/1). The competition between Ecka and Elbryon was always very, very tight. For this reason, PA gave to Elbryon an encouragement prize of 1M.

yes the cent2 definately didnt hold enough acceleration to hang out with Mick or Maiz good races all it was fun.
