-New entry-

I looked down at my augmented hands as I tucked them in the long flowing brown robes of an Itani… Well I don’t know what they call them I know us Serco would call them Guises, but the Itani don’t have Guises, they do all the work them selfs. That’s it work, so I guess they would call them self’s workers or maybe a worker class… I’m never going to understand the Itani. But I bet your wondering what I’m doing in Itani robes, as I’m sure you can tell by now that I am a Serco. I’m in Itani robes because I’m on Itan the capital of the Itani people. No I’m not a trader, or a miner; I’m a combat pilot. Now I’ve left you with more questions. I was a troubled teen to putt things nicely; I was made for land combat, I was trained for land combat, I was augmented for land combat, in a nutshell I was made for land combat. But I never wanted to live, fight, and then die on the land, I wanted to see the universe. Needless to say my family was not happy about my dreams. To this day I think they were the reason I was unable to join the Serco Armed Forces. However regardless of all their attempts to stop me I still reversed many of my augmentations, even lost little over a foot so I could fit in most of the smaller ships better. Standing at 5’10 I became an odd mix between a Serco army rifleman and a combat pilot.

But none of this tells you why I’m on an Itani planet, you see after a few years of flying for the highest bidder some times, for the Serco nation other times, for my self most of the time. I saw that there was a whole new galaxy out there, not quit the one I was told about back in Sol II. The UIT while loosely knit; we’re loyal and not quit as week as one would think from Serco propaganda. And the Itani, we’re not the honor less weak little dogs I was lead to believe they were. If I had been mislead due too not having all the facts about these other nations, I began wonder what if we all had been mislead about the Great War?

Long story short I pulled almost every string I knew and made got my Itani citizenship. It may have been hard for me to get here but I know without the many friends and people I know it would have been almost imposable. I was mostly able to get in as a combat pilot to help in the war effort mostly in CtC. Only bad thing about become an Itani was I had to re-earn all my old license. I went from flying a nice Prom, to living out of a free bus. And then to top it all off the Itani food is bad, they call it healthy, I call it sick. Only good thing is I was able to keep all the credits I had as a Serco. (Some monk at “Eos Welcome” wanted me to give up all my worldly possessions. I laughed in his face.) Life as an Itani is hard.

In one smooth move slammed the clip in to the small sub machine gun, (SMG) chambered a round, and tucked the gun under my light over coat like I hade done many times before. Only this time I knew I was going to use that gun in a fight, or at least to make a kill. I had spent some time as an Itani, I knew when I became one there would be no going back. The Serco nation is vary big on loyalty, some thing I had proved to have little of when I got Itani citizenship, or at least that’s how they saw things.

Now don’t get me wrong the Itani are nice people some of them are the nicest people you’d ever hope to meet. But I knew I could never really become one of them, I could see it in their eyes every time I pulled off my helmet and they got a good look at all the metal in my head. So I ended up spending a lot of my time in grey space. Now many people like grey space, as it’s a place of great violence, with the CtC cargo routes all in, then there are the pirates and skirmishes all over the place. But at the same time it’s a place of great peace. Once you get away from all the fighting and people looking for a quick buck, it becomes a vary nice place to relax and rest away form every one. It was here I guess you could say I fell in with the wrong crowd depending on your point of view.

He was an older Itani (or at least he seemed older, I’ve learn you never can tell with those Itani.) I had seen him here and there, some times he was helping with the Itani CtC effort, some times he was just hanging, and a few times I would catch him in a spaceport bar. We soon became friends, he taught me how to use fighters like an Itani and not like a Serco who thinks he’s still in a Prom, and I bought all the drinks he could, well… Drink. He took me out and I met with some of his friends, a few things that struck me about with all of them was their love for life, their great combat prowess and their enjoyment at the folly of the great war. I ended up joining these guys in a small band they call Black Lance. We are a group of people who will do just about any thing for the right kind of money.

That is why I’m here on a small moon in Odia; some one was using it as a storehouse for ore mined from Odias rich mine fields. 3mil for a hit, just the right price, our “donor” was anonymous but we believe it was the Tung mining rep for Odia. Guess who ever was here on this moon had been cutting into some ones profits. The hit called for the head Forman a UIT named Orklan Grunther to die and the habitation dome to be destroyed. Now we could have just bombed the dome and hoped the Forman died due to the harsh environment. But he allegedly had some Serco augmentations that could allow him to live with out the dome. We at Black Lance like to do a good job, so we had to make sure the Forman died, well mostly I had to make sure he died. I was origenaly made for combat on land or in space as a Marine, so I could last in the harsh moon environment and I would be able to out fight any thing they could throw at me.

The hit when off with out to many problems, they did have some people guarding the main entrance to the dome so I was unable to just walk right on in. My “Oh well you see I roid warped and my teleporter broke so I had to use and escape pod and now I’m stuck in this hell hole” story I came up with on the fly was fortunately believed. All though they did have a guy watching me (untrusting UIT) he however turned out to be quite helpful, some thing about an allergy to bullets. Nonetheless I was able to take out the target and get out with out too much trouble. Turned out the guards didn’t even have vary good guns, they just didn’t know how to use them vary well… I was in and out in 17 minuets. Nice, quick, and clean, or so I thought. We still don’t know what happened but the bomber was a little hasty in his run and didn’t quite wait for me to get out of range. I got shrapnel back; my hearing went bad for a bit, worst of all my oxygen tank was hit. Good thing I did not park my Corvus vult to far out… I got alotta free Serco roid rammers (A Serco beer) outta that, and the 3mil we got to split was nice. Yup, nothing like a good hit to start off the week, life is good.

-New entry-

It's been alone time sense my last entry, much has happened in this time. As I said in my last entry I successfully made it into the pirate guild Black Lance. Me a pirate who would have ever seen that one coming. When I first got my pilots license all I wanted to do was see the universe out side of Soll II, to help my nation, to help every one by helping to win the great war. Peace...

I have written of how I got my Itani citizenship, I have learned much about these people one of the things they all say they strive for is peace. All their monks talk of peace, their history tells of how they tried to keep the peace and the evil Sercos killed them regardless of how much they tried to make peace. The Serco tell of how much suffering the Itani imposed upon them in the early years, and then later how the Itani came back and nuked millions of innocent civilians. Then we have the UIT, they would like you to think they are but poor outcasts without any real nation. They tell of how they were bullied by the Serco nation and forced in to exile. I have had much time to think out here in the vastness of space, the thing a bout being a pirate is no one likes you all that much other then your brother pirates. Thus I am often alone, here I find my true peace. But this peace I have others will never have, I look around at all the stories and I wonder what the truth really is. Every one has a sob story, a reason they are right and every one else is wrong. They all have nice little "facts" that debunk the other factions stories, the truth may be out there but every one is so in denial that even if it was found they would never believe it.

I plug my old Serco pass chip into my onboard comp, all my old data pops up with a chime. Borb II of the Sarkan house it reads at the top, followed by all my other personal information. I recently did a job for the Serco nation under the table of course. See every one knows due to our job pirates are some of the best combatants in just a bout any thing, well at least all the living pirates are, as for the dead ones well how do you think they got dead? Any way due to our millitry prowess we are often sought after for "small jobs" at not so small prices. Though no nation will admit to ever using or condoning a pirate I can tell you me and others I work with have done jobs for every faction you can name. My last job is the reason I'm looking at my old data. You see the Serco nation has gotten access to many Itani Valks, after all I'm not the only Serco to ever get in to the Itani systems and I'm sure I won't be the last. How ever to use a Valk we have to get it modified so we can jack in, specifically the IDF Valk. You see when a Valk is made so that a Serco can fly it allegedly the Itani "fix it" so it never works as good as it could and thus preventing the serco nation from ever getting much information about the Valk. Now the lesser Valks have some controls so that almost any one can fly them, how ever the IDF does not as only high ranking members of the Itani military can use them, thus the only users will have had some sort of monk training and will not need controls other then their mind and the neural enhancers built in to the ship.

The job called for some one who could get into an Itani barracks class station then "get" an IDF valk and get back in one piece to Serco space. Maybe one day I will write of how I did this but now I lack the time. In a nut shell I got one to the station using my security clearance then broke into the main hangers and "got" an IDF along with a pilot to fly it for me. As a result of all this my old information that I used as a serco is now all valid again. I am no longer a fugitive from my own nation. (though I may be from the Itani again thanks to my little stunt) And my sources tell me that the Serco nation used the highly sophisticated Valk engine to update their Prom. (This has become known to all as the update) Thus making the Serco Prom a once again feared ship.

When I first "became" an Itani I had many great ideas about promoting peace and ending the great war. Now having spent so much time on every side (Serco, Itani, then UIT when I became a pirate) I see that we will most likely never have peace. For one we are not ready for peace. Right now so much thrives off of the war it would cripple the economy to end it. Then there is the matter of who would be the "winner", and what would happen to the UIT. With both the Serco and Itani nations at peace and with no one to fight they may remember all the times they were taken advantage of by a UIT. No, for now peace must never happen.

I look at the news, Itani victory here, Itani victory there, oh guess what Itani victory. I shake my head and sigh. When I Became an Itani they were getting beaten on every front. Then came a new group called the Itani Alliance. They gave the great Itani numbers guidance. And then we got these guys from the Order of Akan popping up again after years of silence. It does not look like the Itani will be beaten any time soon unless some thing is done. I look at my old Serco pass chip maybe it's time. Maybe it's time to go back...

I sat in the dark waiting for the time to come. We must move at the same time, in and out, nice clean kills. Well as clean as a job like this can be. If there was on thing I did not like about being a pirate jobs like this would be it. But what could we do? We had to send a message. No one messes with Black Lance.

0305 local time.

Time to move, they are all asleep. I scanned the house one last time using my implanted IR eye upgrades. 3 people. One of them are my target. And Itani monk the sister of Kepler and his only living family member. The house was small, a place where the monks could get some sleep when they were not doing, well what ever it is monks do... I guess praying for peace and silly things like that. Shape should be moving in at the same time as me.

I got in to the small house with out and problems or noise. Trusting Itani fools, no guards, no alarms, no nothing. I had heard crime rates were vary low in Itani space. All the better just means that this will make the news faster. I slowly pulled out my custom combat knife, a gun would not be silent. And there is the fact that an Itani monk with a large hole where her throat should be will shock the Itani nation to no end. We will prove that we can hit them at any time and any where. Funny thing about people they just love to make them self's suffer for the em-betterment of others, but touch their families and they stop what ever they are doing no matter how noble they think it is.

Shape would hit Commander Smittens two parents and younger brother, and I would hit Lt. Kepler's sister. Unfortunately we could not convince Holden to make a hit on Lt. macguyitani's family. Some times it's all so easy to kill in the vacuum of space. After all you never see your enemy die out there, you do not have to touch his dyeing body, hear his last death rattle, or see the look in his eyes just before it all ends. Some times I think I should retire, I have seen more then any one ever should have to. But how can I leave my brothers. I can't as long as they need me I will be here.

I looked down at the lifeless body as blood flowed freely, my chest was soaked with it. Knifes are never pretty when you use them on some one else. I slowly bent over and placed a note on the body. "Tell The Vipers it's over." The note read in font just big enough that you could see it with out having to bend over and pick it up. Yes I would look bad on the news. An Itani monk with a black censor block where her head and neck should be to keep those who may get offend happy. Maybe a head line that reads brutal "murder of Itani monk." And just down at the bottom almost outta sight is the note with it's chilling words.

0307 local time.

Com:
Borb II: Done.
Shape: Me too. Lets get out of here before they figure out those passports do not belong to living people.
Borb II: Wilco. Lets hope this ends things before they get too bad.
Shape: It's too late things are already bad.

I poked at the new scar on my left forearm. I have way to many scars as it is, now i have another one. Now don't get me wrong I'm not bitter, this is one I enjoyed getting, but I was almost scar-less before BL. Course I was also a space combat weenie... But enough about all the great things BL has given me, I'm sure your asking what happened to me. Well it all started with a tip off from an informant, apparently IA would be launching a single moth with escorts full of helo. Now this is not all that normal for IA but most of the time helo is not that big of a deal. But as BL is at war with IA we could not pass up an opportunity to shoot some more of their ships down. So the time comes, me and a few other BL guys are all set up for the helo moth. Gaven was our advanced scout, Holden was our heavy gunner, Spellcast was looking to use his new fighter and some Itani targets work out well for him, Sebastian was doing some thing... I think he was heavy gunning as well, I'll have to ask him some time. Me I was in my Prom Mk2, a ship i had grown to love vary much. Now most people will go and name their ships but I burn through mine so fast it would be hard to come new names. So here we are waiting in pletus when all of a sudden in jumps a few IA. One started spamming right off and hit me good once taking me down to 40% he died shortly after. The other was in a prom and we slowly started tearing his ship to pieces.

Then over the com we get:
Gaven: lebermac is here!!! (lebermac was the moth pilot you see)

Doh! We had all gotten in a fight and we're way off from the WH. Needless to say lebermac who we are gonna call Hotel 1 made it through with little damage and a crazed bunch of BL trying in vain to catch up with him. We ran after Hotel 1 all the way to Bracus E 2 at this time I would have to say he was at 75% or there abouts. Sadly this is where he almost got away, you see there was an ion storm in bracus we did not think Hotel 1 would know about it. So in we jump to this storm and what do you know, he's plotted around it.

Gaven: Hotel 1 is here already!!!

Nice to have that bit of intel. :| By the time we get to odia he is almost outta the sector and to M 14. (where he was taking the cargo) Only 3 of us were still with him the rest having fallen behind. I jumped to M 14 seconds after Hotel 1, I quickly spotted him turboing to the station. I took one last inventory as I readied my self to die with him. 5 rockets left and a full FC batt. He still had 70%

I knew I could not kill him and out run the seekers in time. No this would take us both out and send me back to serco space. The other BL guys where right behind me to far back to shoot at him in time. I was our only hope to strike a blow to the Itani Alliance. 200ms out I opened up with all I had. 3 pairs of rockets hit him and my AGT cut fast clean holes all over his hull. He was too close to the dock I had failed and would die alone I thought as I reached for the manual teleport button. It was then that he spun around crazily. We both paused for half a second to figure out what happened, he was at 10% and as I am told by some of the others there he had just hit the dock and bounced back off. The seekers were speeding at me, and Hotel 1 was readjusting his trajectory. I grinned as I fired my last 2 pairs of rockets in to his crippled ship. Boom! He went up like a queen just as the seekers hit me. My first Beemer kill.

Next thing I knew I was in a Serco infirmary my whole left arm was trobbing like a UITs greedy little heart when he finds a new trade route. I'm sure the Docs thought I was nuts when I started screaming in to my internal com: "I got him!!! Hahaha!!! He's dead!!!" Yeah, now that I think about it I did not see any one else having to stop by the neural office on their way out... Turned out some thing had hit my arm as my ship went up right before I was tele-ported out. My flesh was pealed back from mid forearm back to my elbow. The doc said if it was not for my bone upgrades my arm would have been crushed and I would never be able to used it again. Thank God for Corvus tinkers.

In the end we sold the cargo for a nice profit and I was able to pay for more bone -> steel upgrades. :D

Heh, on another note I got some kind of threat from Apex, one of the IA council members. I don't think he likes what went down with Smittens and Keplers family. from what I hear no one was able to link it back to BL officially (Maybe one day I'll tell more about that :D ) though every one knows we did it they just lack the proof to hunt us down and take us in.

I stare out the cockpit window of my Rev C out into space. I often wonder why I do the things I do, when I spent time with the Itani one thing I loved about them was their self awareness. It has been said that in war one should know his enemy but most importantly one should know his self. If one looks at every thing they do as a battle they will thus find that life is a war, which means this piece of advice is applicable to every day life.

I have spent much time pondering my self and my actions. I love my life as a pirate and a member of BLAK, I how ever find I do not fit the pirate mold. This was all brought to a head the other day when I was chatting with an Itani who goes by the name of Gingerbread the Swift, I call her Ginger. She said I could call and talk to her any time, seeing as ganking is often times vary lonely I deiced to do so. Now I of course was sure she was one of those young Itani who got involved with a "be a friend to a Pirate" or "Pirates are people too" programs, maybe I had one too many Serco Roid Rammers but I gave her a call.

We talked for a long time, and do to many things I came to the realization that I am not really cut out to pirate. I can remember times when I would go into Gold space intent on killing any thing I found. I would see those teens flying around in their new EC 88s that mom and dad got them to get them outta the house. They would be talking about how cool that ice thingy looked and how fun flying was. I would want to shout out over the com and say "That an ice roid and they are every where! Now pay up or die." But I could never bring my self to do it. I would start thinking about my days as a guy in a bus. The wonder of a new world and all that, then the next thing I would know they were gone and I had done nothing to stop them.

I have however deiced that my talents and my love for combat should not be wasted, so instead of trading in my Rev C for a Beemer I will instead become a mercenary. I will still be a member of BLAK, but I will pirate no more. I am now a gun for hire, I will do just about any thing for money. You got a spammer you need to die? I'm your man. Need an other guy to keep your cap ship alive? Talk to me. Doing a trade run and need another guy to watch your back? That's what I live for. Need a hand with your CtC run? Then you need Borb. Just want another brawler when things go down hard? I ain't lived in b 8 thing long with out learning a bit about how to fight. Need some tips on just about any thing to deal with combat? I live for combat and you can too.

Down side to me is the fact that I have an odd bit of honor that I will stick with, I will do any thing as long as I can live with my self. But I will not toe that line. I reserve the right to refuse service to any one. I also will not hurt my friends. Again I reserve the right to refuse service to any one. I have a long memory and will not forget if you have treated me or others bad. I reserve the right to refuse service to any one. I also reserve the right to warn others I may have to kill due to the fact that I do not want to blind side any one because some one payed me to be on the other side.

Also I am a pro so my rates will not be that cheap. (nor will they cost all that much as I don't have to worry about much competition)

Lastly this in no way means I will stop helping my fellow BLAK members. After all they are my friends and best customers.

I hope in the end this will make me a better person and a better pilot.

My TPG X atlas made it's way down to the large green TPG station in Azek. Lately word has been getting out that I'm no longer a pirate but now a mercenary. Needless to say when TPG heard I was also offering training courses for any one they knew the benefits of having an ex-pirate around to train young traders.

The deal was rather nice for them, they would pay me 1 mil cr and I would train 5 guys in many evasive tactics to be used in combination with good ship load outs that would help keep them alive in grey space. Also as an added bonus I would teach them how to escort some one the right way. They would then take what they had learned and pass it on to other TPG pilots. I give UIT one thing they know how to make money and how to keep it.

This is bravo indy indy one seven seven. Requesting permission to dock. I said in to my com.

Permission granted enjoy your stay, the automatic voice beeped back at me.

Just another day and hopefully a few more credits, I thought to my self as I slowly brought my ship into alignment with the docking bay. No need to rush things I thought as I restrained my self from doing the fast combat dock I'm so use to doing in Corvus space. Any one who thinks grey space is safe has not been there long, but here I'm safe. That's right I reminded my self, your in nation space now no worries.

It was then that I heard a woosh I know so well, it was the sound of two sunflairs leaving their tubes and rushing at my ship. I started to turn in the direction of th sound I had picked up with my highly enhanced ears. my body took over and I quickly shot out and started an evasive menuver. It was then I hit the dock and the rockets hit me.

TAKING FIRE! WARNING ARMOR AT 70%! My onboard computer screamed at me.

This was not open space and I should stop treating it like it was. Then I realized how close I was to the docking bay.

Woosh!
Woosh!

Two more volleys were now in flight at me, I only had one go. The combo nation of the rockets and me hitting the dock would most likely end my short trip in to UIT space. The dock was almost right in front of me all I had to do was strafe to the left and move forwards. I was already moving to the docking bay before I realized what I was doing. It was then the the first two of the four rockets hit me catapulting me forwards.

TAKING FIRE! WARNING ARMOR AT 40%!

The good news was I that I now was closer to the dock, bad news was I now had less time to strafe left and align up. Fortunately the second set of rockets missed me due to my flight being though off so much by the first set. In frustration the bomber unleashed all he had into the docking bay. I knew this cus my ears were filled with whooshes.

I knew the odds were bad, I've station killed people before, the reason it's so easy is cuz the target has to go one way to dock, if you know where they are going it's not hard to shoot some one. I thought about backing up for a second and letting the rockets miss my self and hit the docking bay. Then I could kill the bomber and dock. Though that was not with out risk, and it would have been nice, it was also logical and in a way easy.

I was never a fan of the easy way, and I'm something of an adrenaline junky, so inside up backing up an ran straight at the docking bay. The cone-shaped nose of my ship scraped on the edge of the docking bay knocking me in a way right were I needed to go into the bay. Using my mind to ship interface I told the ship to dock, instantly a short range heavy tele-porter, sent my ship into the mechanics bay.

I sat in my ship and waited for the explosions that should rock the station as the rockets hit. But they never came. It was then that I realized if I had backed up and done things the easy way the bomber would have had me. He knew I was a good pilot and that I would know how to kill some one when they were docking. According to that reasoning I would do what I knew would work to not get hit by the rockets.

Who ever this was, they knew what they were doing, but they forgot to factor in the unpredictability of people.

The mechanic assured me he could fix my ship back just the way it was before and it was all covered in my warranty. He also said some thing I found interesting, from what I could tell many pirate hunters were coming in to nation space and doing what ever they could to kill pirates.

I guess no one told them I was reformed, I remarked.

He laughed and he said it's funny how low some will stoop in trying to do the "right thing". As I was pondering this conundrum my internal com rang.

"Borb?" The voice on the other end of my com said.
"Look you called me don't you think you should be sure of who your calling before you call them?"
The elected a chuckle from the man on the other end.

"Nice to know you haven't changed."

"I try to remain constant."

"So that is why you stopped being a trader and turned to piracy?"

I detected a sarcastic tone. So I deiced to play with him alittle bit as I left the mechanics bay waving good bye to the guy fixing my ship and heading off to find the TPG class I needed to teach.

"Well if you think about it traders are pirates of their own, they just do it legally. But you know me I don't like to play games. If I'm gonna be a pirate I'm gonna go all the way."
There was silence on the com for a second.

"Well I hear your a Mercenary now..."

I smiled to my self as I walked, I now knew he was a trader or at least helped traders other wise he would have agreed with me on my point and not changed the conversation.

"Yes, I am. What's it to you?"

"Well I may need to hire you for a day."

"What for?"

"Well you see the UIT are sending a ship to sednia B 8 to help quell pirating in the
region, now as an act of good will the Serco are also going to send a ship of their own to help the UIT ship in it's mission. Or so they say."

"So they say?"

"Well yes that is where we need you, as I'm sure you know the Serco xith convoy passes though B8, and our intel suggests that the real reason the Serco want a ship down there is to protect that convoy."

I now knew that this guy was Itani, other wise he would not have called me.

"So this means your Itani boy's will have a vary hard time killing the Serco voys. Thus the threat need's to be removed?"

He thought for a second before saying.
"Yes, yes I like how you put that. 2 capital ships will may it almost impossible for our itani warriors to..."

I stifled a laugh, I guess it was the inner Serco in me that had a hard time with some one putting "Itani" and "warriors" in the same sentence.

"What?!?!"

"Nothing go on."

"Itani are just as good as any Serco! After all we did end the SAF! No Serco has ever ended an Itani guild."

I now knew who this guy was. The only group to clam they had ended the SAF is IA, now if this guy was talking to me he would have head to be a leader in the guild, but would also need to not have that big a of a deal contracting out to an ex-pirate. Smittens had an ego and would not admit that he needed help, Apex would not be able to hire me due to his honor, and macguy being head of trade in IA would not even know or care about this event in B 8.

"Leber calm down, we both already have preformed opinions on the matter and arguing about it will do nothing."

"Well, yes. Your right ok."

He never noted my finding out his name, must be nice to be lead by some one who misses the little things. So much intel is lost that way.

"You will not be alone in your mission, you will be assessing IA and IDF members in addition to other Itani. Also the Itani government will be sending out one of our new capital ships in order to counter the Serco one."

"Wait we only get one cap? There will be 2 in B8 the Serco one and the UIT one, and as you said they are working together."

"Well we believe when the UIT see what the Serco are really there for we think they will not be so happy to be working together."

I heard the small muffled shots and knew right away what they were before I even looked and saw the gunman. I jumped forwards and landed in rolling. As I propelled my self up to my feet I felt a searing pain running along my back from my left shoulder to my right one. He must have just grazed me as I moved to the ground.

I quickly pulled my .45 from it's holster concealed in my wast band above my left butt cheek.

"Are you there? What's going on you sound like your running?"

I rolled behind a wall connecting the main hanger to a hall way.

"Um yeah the wind just caught up my log book and I'm havin to chase it down..."
I pivoted on my foot popping my upper torso and gun around the corner, I saw the gun man and fired off a shot missing as he ducked for cover behind a large muad engine.

"That sounds like gun fire!"

"It's just some guy testing his ships new engine, look I'm gonna have to go, you call me back later to work on the details. Some thing like this will cost you at least 1 mil."

"1 mil!?!"

"I'm not cheap, bye."

I hung up on him as I started to chide my self for no being more careful. I thought the SF would have taken care of the pilot that tried to kill me out side of the station...

Tump, tump, tump, the gunman fired off more shots that ricocheted around my head as I tried to get a look at him from my position of cover. I looked down at my hand gun. I was out gunned for a fight like this and the station guards would be on their way any second now. I looked down the hall way and started running.

I quickly queried the map I had been given by the TPG guys and up loaded to my internal hard drive. I looked like I was headed for a large TPG hanger used for their massive fleet of mining ships that they used to mine the rich ore fields in Azek.

"Hey you can't be in her..."

And man shouted till he saw the gun in my hand, for my life I would do any thing and go any where I wanted. I did not know if the gunman had back up or not. With my lack of information and armament I was far from ready to engage him/them.

I needed to get out or get more guns. It would not take the gunman long to find out I was not behind that wall any more so I had little time. I quickly jumped in one of the odd looking little TPG muad Xes. They used these ships as guns to keep the bots away from the miners and then it's large hold was used to help haul cargo.

I powered up the system and started up the ships anti-grav low power boosters. Slowly I turned the ship around to face the doorway I had come in though. I looked to my left and saw that the station guard was finally showing up. Funny how they come faster when one of their ships are in danger over a person in the hanger bay.

"Ok, sir toss the gun out the door and come out of the ship with your hands up!"

I saw the top of a head and a gun peek in the door way as the gunman peeked around the corner to see what was going on. I unleashed the three TPG sparrows the the maud was armed with on the whole door frame. The station guards dove for cover as I riddled the week wall with gunfire emptying the whole battery in to it.

"Shit! We need back up down here now!"

I heard the guard scream in to his com system. I turned the ship to face the small group of station guards. My guns still smoking from firing on the door way.

"I want those hanger doors open now!" I said into my on board speaker system.

3 seconds later they started grinding open. One thing I have found about most trade organizations is they prefer others to get shot up for them, but when they are getting shot at it's a whole new ball game.

I shot out of the bay like a bat outta hell, a small hastily scrambled strike force on my tail.

In the end I made if out of UIT space in one piece. I later called the TPG guy and told him I would sadly not be able to make it to the training session and that I would try to make it to another one later on. He assured me it was no big deal I could not make it, as even if I did the whole station was in lock down. It would seem there was a large gun fight in the station one guy ended up dead and the large pirate team that killed him stole a TPG maud to steal the secrets of TPGs great design.

I grimly told him it was a good thing I was late and never got there, as I did not want that evil pirate fleet to try and rob me. He told me I needed to be careful as they were still out there, but TPG and UIT forces were closing on their position as we spoke.

I said good bye, and laughed all the way to Sednia D 14.

-New entry-

My combat boots clanked as I walked across the mettle floor of the docking bay in Eo's Welcome do one last look over of my ship.

A TPG X atlas, really good looking ships considering what they are made for. I looked at the cupeling holding the large queen gun and smiled for second remembering how fun it is when that thing hits some thing and the armor is parted like butter before a hot knife. Then I looked down at the smaller N 2 on the cupeling right below the queen gun. The one week the Itani decide to lose CtC just happens to be the week I could have used one. I hate the Itani, and I know they hate me...

I sat down in the cock pit of my ship and went over my pre-flight check list, today was the day of the great cap ship war as it was becoming known as. As my ship left the docking bay I strapped on my sub-com relay head set. Most people could talk via text any where in known space. How ever most governments could use audio chat the same way, as this was part of an itani military mission, I was allowed to use their relays. Not that I needed their promishion thanks to a derelict IDF vessel found one day, but it was nice to be legit this once.

"Papa Smurf, you there?"

"I told you I hated that code name"

Papa Smurf was the code name me and my financier came up with over a few to many drinks in a Sednia bar.

"It's ok I hate Itani so we are even."

"Damn you."

"Am I still playing body guard today?"

"Yes, I need some one to keep me alive when the battle gets hot and I'm giving out orders."

It was a nice excuse, but I knew the truth was he really could not fly a combat fighter to save his life.

"I'm in Edras where do you want to meet?"

"I want to lead the battle from B 8, so lets meet in Bracus."

Big brave Itani leader has some one to keep him alive so he's gonna make a good show of leading from the front, all the wile my butt is on the line. Gotta love it.

"Ok I'll meet you there."

It was not a long flight to Bracus from Edras, during that time Delta Charley or DC the head of the defensive teams got on sub-com.

"Hey guys."

We both said Hi, back and brought him up to speed on the plans. He would have him self a 2 group team that would escort the Itani ship and keep it alive on it's way to B 8. Papa Smurf had also deiced that he would not only be leading this whole thing but also the offensive forces, which were made up of him my self any itani we picked up on the way and and other group that was already set up in Sednia.

Me I would have had the head guy and 2 guys under him that way he really only needed to lead 2 men and they would lead their men and so forth and so on. But I'm not being payed to run the thing so I kept my mouth shut.

As we jumped in to odia and cleared the 3000m gravity field I saw Papa Smurf start to fly at only 60ms. I waited for a bit following closely behind him like a good little body guard thinking if this was all I was gonna get to do I had an easy day a head of me. After a little bit he stopped giving orders and realized what he was doing.

Papa Smurf: "Wow we are over 12000ms from the WH!"
Me: "Yup"
Papa Smurf: "Hey your right behind me."
Me: "Just doing my job. How else do you guard some one?"
DC: "Haha! Good work earning your money already."
Papa Smurf: "Why did you not bump me?"
Me: "You seemed to be doing fine and I did not want to mess up your grove."
Papa Smurf: "Well next time bump me."

I grinned to my self, this was gonna be a fun job.

After a little bit more of traveling and some good ol bumping we made it in one piece to B 8, we also had picked up some other guy in our group who I'll call Ping, seeing as he wanted to Ping in and take every one out.

Also the second head of the def team had gotten on sub-com code named SS. SS was really not much of a talked but when he did talk most of the time we shut up to hear what he had to say. Though I really can't remember if it was good advice or not.

Me: "Ok we are in B 8 keep an eye out."

Me, and Papa Smurf started turboing to what Papa Smurf thought was a safe spot about 4000ms from the WH. Ping however had other ideas...

Papa Smurf: "What the hell is he doing?"
Me: "Looks like he forgot about our body guarding mission. Either that or he is killing the tangos before the become a threat."
Papa Smurf: "Get him back here!"

I sent a text to Ping telling him we were not to engage the enemy unless they engaged us. Sadly Ping and his ship were blown up, the sad part being that he lived and was homed close by.

Me calmly: "Tango, incoming"
Me a bit faster this time: "I repeat tango incoming."

It was a lone Serco in a centa, he was moving at about 190-200m he was about 1500ms away and he was coming in fast. Knowing that a centa out fitted right could easily kill the cent mk2 Papa Smurf was in, I was more or less concerned. Greatly.

I turned on my iner-eye IR vision. Papa Smurf was using the wall of his cent as a table and writing some thing down. I broke out of my pre-combat trance and started paying attention to what was being said over the head set. It was some thing about how many people we had and where they were at.

The Serco had reached us, I saw the blue bolts coming from his two queen guns start streaking towards Papa Smurf. This time I shouted in to my head set.

"I am engaging tango!"

I opened up with every thing is had trying to draw his fire to me by presenting my self as a more obvious threat. It worked he stopped firing on Papa Smurf as my guns ate away at his armor. In a matter of seconds he was dead. Partly due to my combative skills and mostly due to the eliminate of surprise I had.

Papa Smurf: "Why did you not tell me he was coming!"
Me: "I did twice."
Papa Smurf: "Well damnit Borb next time shout it."

It was then it dawned on me that I never had gotten a cool code name. I did not get any N3s thanks to the Itani, and now I did not even get a cool code name. Some one is out to get me, and I bet they are Itani.

Come back to the present I said in to the com: "Life or death means out side voice eh?"
DC: "Haha! You got it."

After Papa Smurf healed him self we moved further back and the reast of the time we were waiting went with out incident, other then a small show of power when on a whim we decided that the whole attack force should go and kill a CtC transport. It was rather fun even though we never got it, but the it was quickly back in to the war.

The cap ships did not take much longer in getting to us. First ship in was a UIT one, was counted all the UIT and were surprised at their number. The second ship was Serco and to the surprise and fear of many Itani, it had more Serco pilots escorting the cap ship, then the UIT had escorting theirs.

Needless to say once the Itani cap ship jumped in and the itani had just as many Itani as both the Serco and the UIT the fears were misspelled. All hell broke lose and I tried to keep Papa Smurf alive as much as I could but there were times when I was fighting people and a cap ship at the same time, how ever to my surprise he seemed to hold his own rather well.

In the end the Itani ship and her defenders managed to kill both the UIT and the Serco ship. How ever Serco fighters still managed to get past the Itani and kill their cap ship as well. So even though the Itani ship won it was not able to but a strain on the Serco CtC effort.

I must say I was impressed with both the defensive leaders and Papa Smurf's leader ship skilled. Even though it was a job I did enjoy working with them. Even though I made me feel dirty after the fact.

And from what my sources tell me they may want to hire me on again in a similar mission.

Who knows maybe I'll give them a discount.

-New Entry-

BLAK has been doing many shows of power for a vary long time. Winning CtC for one nation or another, blowing some people who needed blowing up over and over again, locking down all of B 8 with a massive prom onslaught ect.

Yes we are good. Most of what we have done many people will never know, but alas that is the life of a pirate. Our latest stunt was fighting in the interest of our self's. We killed or helped kill every one of the cap ships that jumped in to B 8 for the large war. In one way or another, I'm sure the itani would love to know.

Grey space is ours, what right does any nation have to bring ships in with out paying the tax? It has gone on for much too long and today we stopped it. At least for now.

This is my first log I have recored, so soon after it happened. I want it to be here just in case I... Well I just what every one to see it.

Man, there is blood all over the cockpit. It's my blood, I can stick my fingers into the hole in my side and feel the little nanites trying to fix me up. I'm still so high on adrenaline I can't even feel the pain. It was a small stunt, just me holding back from T-porting out of my ship so I could put one more volley of rockets in to a capital ship. as my ship broke down around me shrapnel was slammed into my side ripping it open like rotten fruit.

And judging from the com chatter I was not the only one to have some thing like this happen.

We won but it was at a high price. I needed to get in to a medical bay, I am losing blood fast.

D 14 my home away... Well more or less my home.

"Computer power the ship down."

"I'm almost outta here, heh why do I talk so much to my self when I'm hurt?"

"I guess it's just cuz my voice is so soothing."

"Yeah that must be..."

"Borb power down the ship and step out slowly with your hands above your head!"

Some one is in the docking bay with a bull horn and a team of at least 5 men. Great, and it looks like one of them has surface to air plasma dev.

"You have 5 seconds before we open fire!"

I was outta rockets. My ship was unarmed.

"3!"

This can't be how it ends, I still have so much more to do.

"2!"

"Computer stop power down, start power up."

No one will take me alive, ever. Death with open arms I welcome thee.

BOOM!

Turn the ship around Borby gotta snap outta it, you still have 30% hull, it's only a flesh wound.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

"They can't hit you this hard forever those guns have small batt, just don't lose your head. Keep calm, they are only trying to kill you."

BOOM! BOOM!

"This is bad, Borby your in deep this time."

"Computer turn sub-com on!"

"Sub-com on."

"Guy don't dock in D 14 there are..."

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

I was trying to make it look like it was a real log by adding in typos and such. Trying to add a level of realism. If it bugs you guys I could stop it....

@ Martin: Oh, no, you've caught me. ;p Did you really believe that silly story about the "devs" doing it?

Hehe, and for you slower guys I was just kidding bout the typo thing. That was all me messing up though I don't know how I managed to call every "Valk" a "Vulk". I got alotta typos to fix...

:::CORVUS INTEL REPORT:::

Recently "obtained" footage from Corvus Prime station monitordroid Alpha 12 shows target "Hotel 1" breifly flickering into docking range before bouncing off the hull of the station dock.

Before the titanic explosion of the Behemoth, a muffled cry can be beard from inside the ship: "Nooooooooo! I hit the DOCK?!?!"

That was the last transmission obtained from "Hotel 1" before it was rendered into its component parts. Medic and cleaning droids dispatched to area.

Hey LeberMac (+all IA),

Thanks for the event, it was great! I've noticed that the IA escort warps into a sector in advance before you warp in. Was that your strategy? It worked really well because we were so busy fighting the escorts that many of us missed you sneaking by us.

Anyway, great show!

hmmmm, good story borb, I have only 1 question...

"-Gaven was our advanced scout, Holden was our heavy gunner, Spellcast was looking to use his new fighter and some Itani targets work out well for him-"

Was i playing in my sleep one day, cause i dont remember going after an IA moth anywhere near odia, and i am not BL. lol.

were you meaning to type Shape maybe....?
Mar 14, 2005 Borb II link
Heh, I misspelled "Gavan's" name.

I could have sworn it was you, it may have been Spider... I get y'all confused. I think I still have some screen shots maybe the name is there.

/me wonders off in a dazes to find the truth

Edit:

From my pics it looks like it may have been Seb, all I know is that it was a Serco with an S name and a duel sun vult... Would the real rocket rammer stand up? ;p

(Returning to this thread belatedly, apolgies...)
OOC: No real strategy, but yes the general idea was to send in IA before I warped in to the WH's which we all know are the chokepoints.

However, I think everyone was having WAAAY too much fun PvPing in Bractus and I basically lost any hope of escort once I was ready to jump to Odia. I made it through to the Odia system with someone on my tail (I forget who now, but I was damaged to about 60%) I warped into the destination sector and headed straight to the dock - it was then just me & borb since no one else was close enough to make any difference.

I got close to the dock and was taking fire but remained calm as I knew I had 45,000 armor to absorb a few hits. It got a little close though and I gunned it when I was relatively sure I was lined up OK.

The "Press Activate Key to Dock" appeared and hit the SHIFT key repeatedly. Tap!....Tap!....Tap Tap Tap Tap taptaptaptaptap!

I should have hit RETURN, as you all know. LOL.

So I bounced out of the dock, spinning wildly and at like 5%, and after a dramatic pause, Borb fires off his last remaining volley of missiles and 'splodes me.

:(

We should do it again sometime once blowing up the cap ships becomes boring, as it is quickly becoming.
