about the alphabet: if it were cipher (cipher, not code... there's a diff), the language could still be english... but we still wouldn't be able to read it.

Um, guys, this may be just like Star Wars's own "alphabet" that everything's written in. Notice Luke's decoder with R2D2 in the Empire Strikes Back. That's what John's talking about, I think.
