I would be surprised if Sieger was not on a forced time-out. I expect he'll play again when his suspension is lifted.
Oh, I forgot to add something! Sorry!

I'm not talking exclusively about the SKV/TGFT conflict, rather suggesting it's evidence of a larger trend in the game. In fact, this is why I specifically avoided naming groups or individuals, because there are offenders on all sides. There are plenty of threads elsewhere about who did what to whom, and that is not needed for this discussion. It is possible to talk about this without turning it into a flame war.
Joyless, do you truly deny that your comment was meant to be insulting to me? Making insulting, non-constructive comments in a thread is called trolling, not dissent. Your first comment was dissent, and that was fine. Insulting me, however, was trolling for the purposes of dismissing the OP and contaminating the thread. Obviously I can't stop you from doing it, but I sure as shit can call you out for it.
Have I trolled? Sure. Do I troll often? No. Especially when it appears there is a serious discussion happening. Your behavior is an example of the poor attitude that I'm talking about. It's like it's actually outside of your own power to limit your desire to toss insults and ridiculing memes to keep shit stirred up rather than sort it out. This is not the roleplay forum.
@Yuutuu1, I agree. I'm not saying people shouldn't say hostile things to each other, in fact, I definitely said the opposite.

So, the provided tools such as "/ignore" and "/vote mute" are not enough for you? If you opt out of using them, you don't really have any grounds to whine and moan about people insulting you.
Forgive me, but it's extremely hard for most people to take you or this thread seriously, considering how much you've indulged in the very same behaviours you're trying to "rectify."

What type of bullying have I engaged in? I'm sure you must have some memorable experiences you'd like to point out or some chat logs you'd like to pull. Right?
I'm not a stranger to trying to deligitimize the OP of a thread by questioning the true intentions of the poster. But at least when I do that I have backed up my arguments and assertions with evidence. Show me what you got.

You ask for evidence? I refer you to this very thread. Please stand back and observe how you have not gotten a single supportive post except from axiom, and we all know how he is. You see now how receptive people are to you? There must be a reason for that, right?
This thread seems needlessly dramatic, especially given Inc's recent news post.
Even EVEN phaserlight is sightly displeased with you for making this thread.
So, don't pin on me that this thread is a train wreck.

Lack of evidence does not equal evidence. Not everyone checks the forums every three minutes like you and I. And even if lots of people don't show interest in discussing this issue, outside of naysayers, that doesn't in any way support your claim that I'm indulging in the very same behaviors that I'm trying to rectify.
If anything, it just goes to show how there probably isn't much that can be done.
Phaserlight hasn't voiced any displeasure. He's being preemptively cautious. If anything he has stepped in to make sure this wasn't an attempt at starting another finger pointing shitshow like you are trying to make it out to be.

"In other words, I recall a time in VO where more conflicts were handled between leaders and resolved before things got to the point where either side felt it was necessary to use exploits (whether directly or indirectly) to punish their enemies, or where either side felt it acceptable to censor opposing views (through /vote mute), or where either side thought it was acceptable to spread lies, excessive profanity and sexually explicit/derogatory insults and hate-mongering all over public chat channels. I'm not saying it didn't EVER happen, but it certainly didn't happen on the scale I see now. Maybe my glasses are rose colored?"
I can't speak for guild diplomacy, but regarding exploits, I think you are using rose tinted glasses, yes. The only reason /vote mute wasn't an issue before was that it required 20 votes and was therefor nearly useless much of the time. (I still say 15 would be better than 10, but 10 is better than 20.) Plenty of people abused other things since I've been playing. Like SSS farming by keeping skirmishes alive for hours, back before NPC-vs-NPC drops were eliminated. And it used to be possible to start fights with people in faction space and put them in a situation where they couldn't defend themselves without incurring a faction penalty (the attacker had the same consequence to actually killing them, but if he had a lot of the right proc goods stockpiled, it didn't matter). And then there were the oh so scary "bump kills" that all the silly traders liked to overreact about until the devs finally removed bump damage and made close-quarters combat 25% less exciting. (Shameless plug for an updated faction penalty system that would permit bringing bump damage back.)
As far as chat goes, I don't think it's so much a matter of decreased quality as it is increased quantity. Twice as many people chatting means doubled odds of hearing something you dislike. The F2P option has caused a slight decrease in player quality, but there were plenty of dicks in the pot before as well. I don't remember when you joined, but I joined the game back in '09, when Peytros was still very active. Then later there was MaxxMetal, and Intersteller could be pretty annoying if anybody looked at a PA member wrong. And of course there was always the noob of the day spewing BS. Now we just have more of them.

Sure, let's wait and see who else bites, greenie.
I don't feel the need to back up my claim because people know you, and that's enough for me. The funny thing about the human mind is that people forget the nice things other people do, but they never, ever forget the bad things that other people do to them. Listing out everything you've said would kind of be an overkill.

Joyless, that's a cop out. Give me at least two clear instances of when I was being a bully. Put up or shut up.
Grow the fuck up ya bunch of ninnies.
I see what you are trying to Greenwall, but its falling on deaf ears.
The dev's obviously are not going to enforce their own policy (https://www.vendetta-online.com/h/conduct.html) which is being broken every hour and on practically every thread.

Clarification: I am of course opposed to bullying in schools and cyberbullying on social media. Kids need a safe environment for developing their identities and learning.
However, this thread is not about that at all. You just want to institute an additional layer of moderation in an online game that already provide users with tools to self-moderate. A train wreck and a total waste of time, this thread is.

You just want to make baseless assertions. Why don't you go away? lol
lol.

You know you've gone off the deep end when spidey chimes in to tell you all to grow up.
Seriously, get in the game and just shoot at eachother already...

I think many of you have forgotten this is a video fame.
