Darnit, mine isn't finished yet!

[edit]
I can't beat you... yet... but I can tie you!

[edit2]Link removed because the vrml was invalid. DOH!!![/edit2]

Requires VRML1 converter in addition to the VRML viewer, because VRML 2.0 isn't in blender properly yet.

s12: Serco LagLand
s13: Nothing but a Guild Outpost For the SDF, Minor Trade
s5: SDF Headquarters, major combat area for Serco and Itani craft.
s9: The resort of Vendetta. BountyBot, and IRC Headquarters.

s13: excellent Training/Dueling Grounds (no Bots, no souped-up stations, few roids)

s17: You! Bot! Stay!

*joins the chorus* very nice map indeed.
arolte's idea of a 3d map is good, but what sw would one use?

s4: Secondary defense sector for Itani. Def bots galore. But, if you're new, and Itani, go here to practice destroying easy bots (75). Also, there's usually a large amount of cargo floating around here as a result of large numbers of bots being destroyed. So go pick it up and sell it in s1 for a wee bit of profit.

Hmm, double post, so I'll add some info to Pyro's s5 comment:

Also, trade between the outpost station (way the heck out there) is usually quite profitable with s9. Usually. It depends on how many people have been trading on that route lately.

Perhaps we could tune the sector comments to the natures of the different nations. S2 shouldn't just be listed as "a place that's empty except when someone's capping." because it's most definitely not that. Have people who enjoy roleplaying for their nations write the commentaries.

Here we go:

Sector 2 (Sercon Station): This is the first outpost of the Serco Dominion, orbiting the fiery homeworld of Prometheus. The raiders and warriors of the Serco Dominion are noted for their ferocity in battle and undying devotion to their Lady Serco.

Sector 12 (Sercon II): An advance base of sorts, this jumble of captured Neutral and Itani ships and station parts serves as a warning sign to any who would seek to advance further into Dominion Territory.

True, but in fact you get accused of "exploiting" if you drag along your pursuiter from s5 into s12. Because suddenly the latency made their energy-loaded vulture feel a bit, strange in comparsion to the rapid fire rate of an advanced gatling and a bunch of homers.

it was a pretty explosion though.

How does one get to sector 40?

What the bejesus, where did that come from :p? Go into s7, to the station, then aim down at the closest dark band from the planet. Boost. Look for the grey dot on your radar.

VRML is stupid. I'm just gonna do an avi render. My VRML exporter didn't export any of the materials correctly, and it turned off my smoothing. :(
