Or make a QTVR. Everyone who has Quicktime can view it, that includes Linux, and the tools are free. Or was that too easy?

However, nobody can create it. :o

What are you smoking rouge? Similar to the response when I suggested vrml in the first place... Its just a normal QT movie with a flag set differently...

it looks that your all enjoying what i've done....

thanks for the new comments

red cactus

for now i'm going to post all of comments like a quote list...
later i'm going to write some cgi to extract 1 quote from a list and post it every time one visits the sector page.

that should be neat.
also i'm gonna better label the home sectors... and stations...

i dont think the stations have names... soooo
please add comments for station names... i'll try and pick the ones that "fit" best with all the fun vendetta times i've had with people on line...

to the guys doing the 3d stuff... that stuff is pretty friggin cool... you should try swift and flash... i've done flash stuff but never the magnitude of VC or sector map. only some one frame animations with scripts... but keep up the good work ANY HOW!

Unless I'm an utter moron, the Blender QuickTime render plugin doesn't include a QTVR option... Although I must admit that I have no idea what the H.261 setting is, nor the Cinepak...
Feb 22, 2004 ctishman link
H.261 and Cinepak are codecs supported within the Quicktime technology base. To create QTVR content, use this page:

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtvr/

and click "Tutorials" under "Authoring Resources" for an obtuse and difficult explanation. Go here:

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/tools_tips/qtvr.html

for some drag-and-drop tools. The best way would be to generate a full set of panoramas and link them into virtual rooms using the CubicConverter and CubicConnector 2.0. I'll see about it when I get home.

The stations have names.

Look in my database when it is released to the public.
Feb 22, 2004 ctishman link
I'll be sure to do that. I also have my own names on the stations. Check em out, and let's hash out a unified, workable (and interesting!) middle ground over email.

why not make frames, so that only part of the page has to load?
that'd give you an "interface" feeling.

Feb 23, 2004 Celkan link
Actually, ctishman, I kind of used some of your names and background stories cause it saved time.
