One time, I asked Icarus if he wanted to fight, and he didn't respond, and then I jumped through the wh after him, and he shot me and I died

You could shoot smitt once with a phase blaster and somehow he'd find a way to keel over.

I want to see proof that he's back. He's friggin insane, or so I've heard. I never experinced his wraith first hand, but I'd like to.

On me very first day in VO, I died somewhere in deep space. I saw nothing, heard nothing, and realized nothing, until it was too late. There as nothing but a quick instance of fire and destruction, and then nothing but the emptiness of space.

The news that the very first player who pk'ed me (and the way in which he did, at that) is back, has me trembling, both from excitement and the frightful realization that I'll be checking my back twice every other second in space from now on... once for Shape, and another for Icarus...

I used to invest alot of time in baiting Icarus and escaping just for the hell of it.

Once when I was a complete newb in 3.1.2 I killed him with mines as he chased me, he replied "Hmmm"

I had the pleasure to tangle with him twice in my early days. From there I learned to run away whenever I saw him LOL

He was crazy... but I think a lot of it was due to the fact that station camping was taboo back in the day. It was very easy to do, yes, but generally nobody really did it. It was an unspoken rule. Icarus just didn't care about all the unwritten rules. He just ganked everyone at anytime when he had the largest advantage. The thing was... he was really good at it. But the game has really changed. Space Hunter really reminded me of him, but gankage is much harder these days (especially station camping - if somebody was camping a station you were in, you didn't have a chance of escaping in alpha). Hah - I remember he would camp those stations for freakin' EVER. Thats the craziness I remember. Once he decided he wanted to kill you, he didn't leave you alone, even if you kept killing eachother over and over again.

One of my first days playing here on VO, I was jumping sectors on a trade mission, radar clear, nothing in sight. Moments later my HUD was flashing red. I spun my poor noob bus around to find none but Icarus, whom my aunt Mystic had warned me about. I fired off a few shots before my ship crumbled apart around me. After that incident, a rappore developed and I dare say that Icarus was the first friend I met in the VO universe.

Icarus, if you read this, the universe hasn't been the same without you, and welcome back :-)

Icarus is the best pilot I've ever known... he used to be able to fly circles around anything in a Valk.
