The Union is the most ingenious and intuitive out of all the nations. They developed a large junk of the modern tech we use today. They are the engineers of Known Space. Who knows what else they posess...

The same reason you boost your Itani status to get Valks. 250 m/s is nothing to shake a stick at. what proof do you have that I raise my itani standing?

Are you aware of how many cap ships we actually posess?
None....

We've never really had to deploy any capships besides the Zelor because you only need one in a live-fire exercise. Should war come you'll realize how bad an idea it is to taunt our military.

Same could be said for you ;)

Yeah, but we improved upon the designs. You took them as they were, and any advances you've made have been purchased from *us*.

Improved on them? Pfft! There are those lies again, and yes we did purchase from you

Such a simpleton as yourself wouldn't know how to use pirates to your economic advantage. Pirates create a need for escorts, mercinaries, and military hardware--very lucrative for losing a few cu's of aquean.

Why would we lower ourselves to use pirates?

Ever heard of remote mining? No, didn't think so.

I have no need for mining, so why bother?

my itani standing?
More than a few notable Serco are known to pilot Valks. (Lector for instance)

None....
You know full well that we have at least one HAC, the UPK Zelor. I am not at liberty to say how many Capital ships the Union posesses, but know full well that we have quite a few tucked away in our dockyards.

Same could be said for you ;)
The diference between our military and yours it that ours has teeth, we just don't oft need to use them.

Improved on them? Pfft! There are those lies again, and yes we did purchase from you
We have the fastest ships, we have the ships with the most thrust, and we have the most infiniboost ships--efficiency is our game.

Why would we lower ourselves to use pirates?
Because you are too dumb to use circumstances to your advantage.

All of the materials (and yes, materiel) you use was at some point, raw materiels that had to be mined. And guess who is the Dominion's primary supplier of raw materials? The Union, whom you buy from at an absurdly inflated price because you are too lazy to mine it yourselves.

P.S. Moldy, the GrapeDev incident involved little more than some pretty fireworks. If you're looking for genocide, look for the "sundiver protocol"

You underestimate the power of the dominion, but I still think that your "so-called" fleet is nothing but a sham, just an opinion

And yet, you don't use them to full effect... pity

At one point, yes, you were the supplier, but do not think that we are too lazy to mine for ourselves, you underestimate every factor in our society.

Why dont you come in-game and do something for your nation instead of bragging about things that are "non-existant" (not all but...) and if your in an alt, show yourself!

We'll see about that when your Dominion's infastructure crumbles to dust before you.

Same could be said for you
Hardly. Every galactic event, from the exodus of the Itani from Terra II, to the release of the Hive we have exploited to the utmost advantage. If you are referring to the recent events regarding the NSI, know that we have been working around the clock, behind the scenes to positively affect us (although the Itani blocades were not the most beneficial things in the universe).

At one point, yes, you were the supplier, but do not think that we are too lazy to mine for ourselves, you underestimate every factor in our society.
The cold roids in your territory say a very different story. And even if you *have* been mining, it is likely beyond the boundaries of the Dominion's juristiction.

I would be in-game, were the circumstances to permit it. However they do not, and so I strive to use every resource within my grasp to effect events in-game from the outside.

You bring up a good point, you UIT were the cause of the creation of the Hive. You may be techonlogically advanced, but this is a mistake that would not die down into shadow.

seems likely that you dont visit too much, not that I care

Yes, the Hive are our fault. Of course, since the Serco military is SOOOO much more powerful than the UIT military, then why are you having just as much trouble dealing with them as anyone else?

Oh, and before you play the "It's not important enough to warrant the attention of our military forces" card, let me remind you that you said it "is a mistake that would not die down into shadow." Sounds pretty important to me.

Oooh! Cunjo is assembling the Serco pilots for easy processing into the Itani nation! Now make sure you all stand reeeeal still in ordered rows like good little Serco targ.. I mean petitioners. Your applications for asylum from the naughty Lady Serco will be heard on a first-come-first-splod.. I mean -served basis.

Thank You. News at 11.

(And, you DO all know that Visitor is UIT? I mean, do the Serco not have any propaganda for use against the UIT? Or do they resort to slightly changing the same anti-Itani rhetoric that they spout?)
Mar 02, 2006 Blacklight link
UIT is not of big concern at the moment, Leber

Just for the record:

The Serco Vulture Guardian is the best Vulture out there. None of the other variants except the Corvus Vulturius even come close to its roundedness, and the CV just doesn't have the long(er) breath the SVG has for chases. And there's little you can say against the fact that the Vulture is probably the best all-round ship there is in the game.

LeberMac, yes, we do know that vIsitor is UIT, even I do now. From how he talks, he could just as well be an Akanese war-monger, though.

vIsitor, the fact that exploiting pirates as an engine for profit is completely all right with you shows that you have no respect whatsoever for the lives of even your fellow citizens. Who do you think dies to the pirates and the collateral damage when you interfere? There was once a quite famous philosopher, who had similar thoughts as you do. His name was Niccolò Machiavelli.

That being said, I do hope that more tranquil and calm representatives of all three nations are more open-minded and do not hinder the combined scientific effort. Talks with other UIT people have shown me that there is at least a part of your populace (just as there is in ours) that wishes not the continuous conflict but rather coexistence.

This will be my last post in this thread.

Whilst we do go in pursuit of profit by whatever means we can (we are capitalists, after all), we do have our moral limits. Safety features in todays ships mean that deaths rarely ever occur--a small loss of property is acceptable, the loss of the life of our citizens is not.

Still, you may have a point. I'll look into it.

Can you postpone your invasion till after my dinner?
My kids are not allowed to go out and pulverize Sercos untill they finish their dinner properly.
Swarming and station L-mining lamers like Cunjo could make them run amok if they miss their dinner.
Please?

AKA Ecka Estenk

Old Ecka shakes his head sadly at all the belligerance . Checks his inventory and makes sure his stockpiles of medical supplies in the Eastern Arm of the universe are in place .

He then packs his tackle into an old battered Atlas and heads to a quiet corner of Nyrius to fish for the elusive space haddock....

The Serco forces made a pitiful attempt to invade Itani space tonight. The Itani Nation sent peacekeepers to the Edras/Jallik wormhole to defend our space from incursion. Some of our UIT brothers (and sisters) meet up with us to defend our nation space. The Serco “forces” were disorganized and inept. They made a couple of clumsy attempts to cross into Jallik and were rebuffed at almost every turn.

They couldn’t a sustained force into our space. But they did accomplish some underhanded tactics by having Itani admired UIT and Serco attack us in our own space. I among others lost significant Itani faction while defending.

The Serco forces did attempt to regroup numerous times, but couldn’t get organized. The Serco representative, Viper88, surrendered to the Itani nation at 2:20:45 about 1 hour into the “battle”.

[03/03/06 22:20:15] [100]Jestatis Bess waiting to take sercos surrender :)

[03/03/06 22:20:45] [100]<Viper88> we officially surrender

LeberMac suggested that we show the Serco forces how a truly organized force works and we crossed into Serco space and attacked Sol II H-13 Sky Command. 10 Itani pilots wiped out all resistance in the sector and celebrated in the Sky Command bar.

I truly hope that if the Serco nation ever thinks of invading our space agin they will PLAN something first.

Many thanks to my fellow Itani brothers and the UIT who helped us defend our space. And Special thanks to the brave Itani pilots who brought the fight to the Serco.
