And the fact that you don't just seek it out, but love to create it, is exactly my point.
Lesscter. why are you whinning? Don't you like your own medicine?
By the way, you just proved yourself one of those stupid guys who think Brazil speaks spanish, and Buenos Aires is its capitol...
We fought with 5th allied army on Italy. We never hosted nazis, and the only one found alive here after war was deported to Israel...
Ah, i forgot, you can't read inside the closet.
And by the Lelessctor Principle of Victory, I declare that whoever TROLLS any post by Locter is the winner of the thread... NOT!
It would make me just as IDIOT as you... and your fixation on sucking guns and hiding yourself in the closet to assault kids/newbies looking for candies...
Sleep well over the crop of your bad seeds...

Yawn. While not as Nazi-riddled as were Chile and Argentina, Brazil was quite popular with the Lebensraum crowd during the war -- numerous WW II era Nazi camps have been found in Brazil's hinterlands. J. Mengele's life in post-WW II Brazil is also well documented: he lived there for most of the period between 1949 and 1979. Nor was he the only such "guest" that Vargas and his successors welcomed. As an aside. Brazil was anything but eager to go into Italy: only after years of delays, and the Germans forcing their hands by sinking merchant shipping, did they reluctantly commit a small force of underequipped soldiers. At least they did something eventually, which is really more than one can say for their "role" in WW I -- though to be entirely fair, we stayed out until 1917 and the Lusitania.
I am not unfamiliar with Portugal's dominant role in Brazil's conquest, but the Spanish did their part as well. I suppose I should cover the French and Dutch, too. And, since we just mentioned the French, I'll simply quote de Gaulle to sum up:
Brazil is not a serious country.

I don't know about you, but after reading this thread, I find myself wondering if we'll ever have a thread that doesn't go wildly off-topic after page 3.
If there an internet rule for that? Something like "If a thread CAN go off-topic, it WILL go off-topic, chances of it veering off topic are exponentially greater the more pages it accumulates."
And SURE, Lecter's an Asshole. Notice he doesn't deny it, in fact, I think he revels in it. He's probably not SUCH an asshole in person, teh interwebz tends to magnify your asshole-quotient because you're not actually sitting across the bar from someone else spouting "vicious vitriol."
I'd still kind of like to see his contest become reality.

Sounds like the Murphy's law variant for threads...or something.
"I'm just saying that Brazil is a slimy, backwards excuse for a country"

Wat?

My thread in off-topic has been on-topic for over 10 pages. I think y'all are doing it wrong.
No, the law would be a bit more intricate.
First, we posit that the threads of a publically available messageboard are divided into pages.
Secondly: With the increase of the number of pages, the probability for a thread to have one or more posts that can be considered off-topic approaches one.
Thirdly, I fear that you have fallen prey to your own profession, Lecter (note that this is not meant as a fling on lawyers, but as a serious interjection). Please rethink your approach to keeping a thread moderately free of inane babble, rising to every gauntlet thrown doesn't really work.

OMG!
And I didn't even post in this thread! It got here without me! How?!
Am I just not needed anymore?
Lecter and gav are all growned up now. I am so proud. I am going to cry.
P.S. Technically speaking, gav is correct, and only an idiot would refute it. But it is ok. Only an idiot would bother to be correct about something so stupid, so you are even. And even that is ok, because only an idiot would post in this thread.

I managed to keep the race to page 100 thread on topic for 101 pages. Does that count? BTW where is that thread archived?
Today I randomly decided to do this. I actually don't care so much about the contest, since I probably won't be around in six months, but I'm reviving an old alt and playing by simple rules:
1) If I see a human, I try to kill it
2) Unless that person is helping me kill other people
3) Unless that person will help me kill other people in the future
4) Exceptions made for B8 since I can't bring myself to be that lame
Given that I put myself in the middle of "sucks" on the pilot-skill-o-meter, this should provide endless entertainment for all.
:D
