Glad to hear it, and I do intend to participate if I'm able to show up at that time.
And if it seems like we overreacted, that's because freedom is hard to gain and easy to lose. Once a precedent is set, it makes repetitions and extensions easier. Better to overreact on occasion than to wake up one day and find yourself in shackles.

I certainly read the initial post in the authoritarian voice....but I also understand the desire to organize the event so it runs smoothly.
I'm also interested in participating, and can only suggest that you try to envision a way to incorporate the players who want to nuke the maze in such a way that their desire to do so adds to the event rather than detracts from it.

Attention participants: you now have T-minus 3 minutes to reach minimum safe distance.
;)
;)
I will check with the devs on this.
What a terrible way to welcome somebody who has stepped up to DO something! Could we not have simply discussed this without a lot of hand-flapping, name-calling, and overuse of hyphens? We'll run the thread past Inc and see what he has to say.
Some men just want to watch the world burn, Savet.
You do that, Whistler.
I read this thread as Phaserlight posted it, and wondered just what they would do if I turned up and nuked the place without warning.
Thanks doc. :P
Thanks doc. :P
i would suspect inc will say "yea, that'll happen" and move on
It's more than possible the nukes wont affect the people inside the maze much, i was sitting outside a connie yesterday and ONE started nuking it and the shock waves weren't passing through it to hit me, if this is one of the non see through mazes something similar may happen.

So you're saying I should nuke it for science? :P
I think he's saying you, me, Yoda, and possibly others should nuke it IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE!

Pretty good event, thanks for the fun, Phaser.
Nice try with those avalons, Lecter. How did those stars taste at the start of the third round? :P

First Maze Runner event was a success. In Round 1 Keria Willenium guessed closest to the random number 48 and was the Maze Runner. She was hunted and killed by Nahin Lor, who became the MR for Round 2. In the second round Nahin issued against the tube walls, and I drew another random number 26 which Nahin guessed closest to, making him the MR again in the final round. In Round 3 Nahin was able to pick up all the chocolate in the maze and make it to the exit alive, claiming the 2 million credit prize. The Hunters split the 2 mil prize in rounds 1 and 2.
Thanks to all who participated:
Nahin Lor
Rin Ganborro
Keria Willenium
Mistena Kosmel
CorvusX
Savet Hegar
ARF_01
Redscar
Honorable mention goes to "nuclear atmospheric disturbance engineer" Dr. Lecter
Sorry if I missed anyone.

I should like to note I flew around a while and shot some stuff and acquired one chocolate before issuing on the wall with a stray iceflare. :< I did not run into it.

Soft and chewy. Left me with plenty of Avalons and hull to blow up a couple more people -- including you and Misty on my next pass.

She rammed an avalon... >.<
Kill's a kill ;)
Speaking of which... /me waves to raybondo

Sounds fun, bugger I had to work. Hope to see something like this again Phaserlight!
