Nobody is excluding grey people from participating. He's just not allowing us to form our own mixed-nationality group, just like TGFT cannot form their own group independent of the three nations.

Apparently you aren't aware of the fact that the existence of the "Grey" team in the Nation War is an addition to the Nation War. It was never part of the original rules - it's even apparent from the event's title: grey is not a nation.
Furthermore, as has been pointed out, there is an unlimited number of potential role-playing groups to add to the Nation War. Where should the line be drawn? At some arbitrary distinction favouring a particularly vocal minority (possibly at the expense of simplicity and fun gameplay), or at what the current game mechanics easily facilitate? The better choice seems very clear to me.
The only time players in the past have been excluded from the Nation War by the host is when they break the rules of the event. The absence of an arbitrarily-defined side is not player exclusion, it just means more players in the existing sides.
The level of silly uninformed high-horse butthurt is very high in this thread. It's kind of sad.

Sure there could be an unlimited number of role-playing groups to add, but that hasn't happened. We could 'what if' all day. But, what we do know is there are pirates and pirate guilds who affiliate themselves with Grey Space and who want to participate in Nation War as a Grey team.
If you feel you can't handle an event that has four teams then the solution is simple. Don't come.

It's a 10ish minute event that is an hour before Zak's event. How is that hounding the time slot?

I want to join a Serco Nationalist team, consisting of those who have betrayed their nation, and now fight exclusively against that nation. Make it happen now. This is a Nation War, not a role playing war. Either play by the rules of the original event, being 3 nations, that's it, or change the name of your event.
You guys are just being silly now. Come or don't, the choice is yours.
Only players representing grey space showed up today so we decided to do a FFA. Nahin took home the 40m Prize.
