Vendetta-OnAir (VOA), is proud to bring you Nation Wars #430 this January 17th.

*** The TIME will be 5PM Eastern Standard Time, 11AM Pacific, 7PM Sunday GMT (Or 19:00 /time in game) ***

All citizens are welcome to participate, there is no entrance fee, exact Prize Amount is to be determined and depends on donations (Will be at least 10 Million Credits!). Some of it could be yours!

The Basic Rules are as follows:

1.) Only those who are on-time are allowed to participate.
2.) Participants must be on their nation's team unless they can make a claim to be unaligned in which case they may choose to fight for Grey if Grey team is allowed that week.
3.) You may not start fighting until the host signals the start of the battle - this includes the 15 minute period prior to the planned starting time.
4.) You may not return to the battle sector after you have left except to observe from a healthy distance in an EC-88 or EC-89.
5.) No running from the asteroid field.
6.) The last team standing wins.

This week Grey team is allowed, Valks and Proms are banned.

Any guild or player is welcome to donate to the prize pot, and by doing so will earn mention during the event and in the results.

Thanks goes to GTE for their donations, bringing the current Prize Pot to 30,000,000 credits.

Due to disruption of the event, it was canceled and Voidance banned from NW #431

thanks to all who attempt to make these events fun without being a disruption.

Ok, LaZy is one of the nicest players on vo who put together these events...it takes his time from his day to make sure everyone in go has a fun time, because everyone does in the nation war. Why the hell did void do this!? This just explains more of how the griefer guild void runs about bitching about how they don't get their fucking way! I'm so fucking agitated rar.

Due to your nerfing of GREY team with ridiculous rules, until fair rules are established, I will attend every NW. You've always been fair lazy. But this time it seems you bowed to whining. It was never an issue when Serco or Itani outnumber eachother. But GREY has numbers once and you handicap them. That's bullshit.
Jan 17, 2016 SkinWalker link
No one forced you to participate. All you had to do was one of two things:

1) opt out and stay in B8
2) run your own player-run event with the rules as you like them.

Actually, there is a third option as well.

3) you could have simply gone along with the rules and then voiced your opinion and suggestions for change in this thread afterward. Lazy would no doubt listen, particularly if the majority of those playing agreed.

But disrupting a player run event is the ultimate dick-move. Even one of your own guildies actually took time off work so he could participate in this scheduled event. And Lazy puts his own time/effort into organizing it. I've had issues with the rules in the past and your problems with the rules this time might be valid, but I always took to options 3 or a variation of 1 above.
Jan 17, 2016 jordanmorgan14f link
I asked him to reschedule and agreed to not disrupt. Don't get your panties in a twist.
Jan 17, 2016 SkinWalker link
No twist. But as an LT for VOID, you represent them. Poorly.

Which is why you would never have risen above "member" in FAMY.
Jan 17, 2016 jordanmorgan14f link
Because I don't take shit from anyone. You on the other hand will ally with anyone. You are not pirates. You are basically Serco privateers at this point.

As I remember from the time grey team was introduced as a valid option in nation wars (a decade or so ago) there was a prerequisite that pilots participating in grey team have to be members of an existing pirate guild or have home nation KOS standing.

Has this rule been changed?
If not, I don't see why this VOID upheaval happened.
Jan 17, 2016 Savet link
Were valks and proms banned across the board? The rules above seem fair as long as they're equally applied. I've had issues with NW in the past, but I don't disrupt it as I have guild-mates that like to participate.
Jan 17, 2016 Mi5 link
We were running the "Disrupt NW" event, thanks for participating and see you next week.
Jan 17, 2016 SkinWalker link
Like I said, disrupting player-run events is the ultimate dick move. Organizing a good player-run event is time-consuming and can take a toll on the person organizing it in RL since consistent scheduling for something like NW is important.

Disrupting a player-run event, on the other hand, is simple. It just takes one dick with a blaster with little to no forethought.

VOID has outdone itself with the dick-move ability of its senior leadership. They even prevented newbs from attending by holding out in B8 to the last minute, shooting newbs who simply wanted to watch and see what the event was all about. Sure, it's fun to shoot newbs in Greyspace, but when they're going to an event, letting them "slip by" is better for the game, and thus, the community.

I can appreciate YT's effort to smear the much more successful and competent pirates of VOID, given the degredation of FAMY in recent months. It's a valiant effort.

Allow me to remind me you, however, that ONE and RED, the serco nationalists you always seem to be defending, have, upon multiple player-run and (more importantly) dev-run events, been gleeful utter disrupting dicks. I'm sure the amount of money RED and ONE have paid (or are paying) was/is too good to allow yourself to admit the truth about them, but your bias is pretty blatant here.

Originally the event was scheduled to take place at 19:00, leading up to the time the event was supposed to start there was a lot of debate over how different personalities feel the event should be structured. Understandable, were not all meant to get along. The result of the debating ended up being the death of the host and a few other pilots right before we were going to start. I am of an opinion that sometimes the best thing to do is to just go ahead and step away instead of be frustrated, and that is what I did, I thanked the people who try to help keep the event civilized, and cancelled the current event to try again next week.
So I went and worked on my sisters car like I had promised her.
Upon sitting back down I was kindly reminded by the VOA members that I had promised to spar with them after nation wars, so I went ahead and logged in with the intent to do so. I then had a conversation that began with an apology and ended with a promise not to disrupt Nation Wars should I try to host it again, so I went ahead and advertised it to start at 22:00
And so we had Nation Wars, both the Grey and Blue teams had tridents, 2 out of three Serco died early, and the lone UIT was out fairly quickly as well.
I did my best to look for advantageous times to attack but they were few and far between being so greatly outnumbered. Eventually I found myself as the lone fighter vs 5 Itani and Sieger left in his dent.
I was quickly dispatched and upon returning to the sector watched the Itani team try to remove the shields from Sieger's dent, and surprisingly prove unsuccessful. Eventually Sieger would cede the victory to the Itani team, ending the event.

The Prize Pot for the event consisted of 40,000,000 credits, thanks goes to GTE, PPT, and someone else for their donations, I apologize but the name of one donor was lost this week. This allowed the victors to receive 8,000,000 credits each.

nice video LazyDj and thanks for hosting this despite the weird disruptions. i don't see why a person from VOID would do this? they should go into the pirate-guild cetegory... right?
don't let disrupters affect you DJ! i think most of the community is thankful for your efforts. :)

anyways... why was Shark so rude to Sieger in the end? it was obvious he was outnumbered. understandable he wants to save the expensive thingies. it's not like he just ran away with a sneaky comment. he offcially announced the itani as victors before he left. that's rather fair than "cowardly"?

save the expensive thingies???

Muahahaha!!!

that guy is Uber-Rich (credits/exotic stuff)

last time i got my stats resetted by devs i started playing on that char paying special attention to the kill/death ratio... just for the lulz... ;-)

@Anniza

anyways... why was Shark so rude to Sieger in the end?

It's a part of a tradition now.

You know, there is only one thing you can rely on Sieger in group combat - he will run and leave his mates to die. He has been doing this since I know him.

He is out of flares, he runs, he is damaged to 50 % - he runs, he is outnumbered - he runs.
In this case he was in a trident and about the only thing he knows how to do with a trident is to launch TU mines. He did that, failed to kill anyone and decided to run.

He could have fought back to the bitter end and taken a few of us with him - that would have been honorable thing to do and in the spirit of the nation war event.

So is it really so rude to call it as you see it?
