You could not have [ 1 ], because a guild tag is 2 chars minimum, but RED must have surely been possible. No other guild existed with that name at that point in time, so why not? I had choices and I made the decision for the betterment of the guild much to the chagrin of espi and shef. No offence to either of them, but at the time espi's attempt at undermining ONE was wildly transparent and shef didn't want to command any longer, so I took the helm.

As far as I'm concerned it's all water under the bridge and ONE has thrived in spite of it all. Though I felt I needed to clear the air around it, given the historical nature of this thread.

True enough, but anytime you see me getting worked up over guild politics and/or VO nationalism, rest assured it is solely Lecter-the-character at work. Any dickishness in the manner in which I express that getting worked up may well be attributable to Lecter-the-player...but is being deployed at that particular target for solely RP-related reasons :)

2. ONE's bank balance at the time was piffling compared to RED's

2. I don't know what you did after that, I left the game. Whatever you did might very well have been to Espi's chagrin, I imagine you'd even now do stuff to deliberately do that. Why you think I'd be chagrined (in absentia, lol) as well idk.

hi there Dr.Lector. Basically someone who just loves trolling here said I lied viz 'that we coulda got the tag [RED]'. I know we tried for it but can't remember why it wasn't possible at the time: the real reason may be MY selective memory, but I do think I wanted the inclusion of that tag back in 2008 as a possible, perhaps even veracity/truncate/vehement vetoed it.
