The last 20 pages of this thread should be renamed " idiots that think they matter telling us how clever they think they are" Its total dross, nobody gives a fuck , and it isn't anything to do with Role playing.

So, how about a new thread that actually involves some role playing? Way back we had some excellent writing, VO themed stories inspired by what is after all a Role Playing Game.

If the devs did that we might see some of the great roleplayers back in game, which after all is the point of VO.

Feel free to deliver something constructive at any time. I find it works better to lead by example, rather than knock people who are still enjoying their role-playing. Perhaps you're due a change, the hypocrite role doesn't seem to be bringing much joy.

I love compelling RP but it will never exist while VO players rip it apart for shiggles. Bizarre pirates RP and nationalist RP are the only RP you're going to get unless the VO community doubled overnight.

The difference is that davejohn was not directing "idiot" at anyone particular, and was using in a context of making a constructive change. yoda was directing it at an individual. Can't we just have some actual RP here (and no, I don't mean calling people "idiot" in a RP format)?

So I can insult people as long as I insult everyone and not direct it at any one person?

Constructive change? Making a post not related to RP at all in a RP thread while complaining about the lack of RP is constructive? Ok then, I guess I just suck at seeing what isn't there.

So what would you suggest to make this happen?

I suggest an attic or non-moderated thread that people who want to be dramatic and start arguments can use for their silliness. Do that and purge RP of all non-roleplay content.

Or

We can do nothing because good roleplay is subjective and the roleplaying thread would not get "better" by stopping arguments or as I like to think of them Vendettas.

Create a ditch for the people you don't like or moderate them better.

As a side note: Whistler, I don't harbor any disagreement with you and I don't think you do a shitty job. But I do believe that the hours required to moderate everything would need more volunteers and separating RP from dramatic nonsense is not everyone's cup of tea.

The fact is that there really is no home for an attic or non-moderated thread. GSW is responsible for all content here, and the drama really does spread from one thread to another. When RP heats up, we invariably see increased trouble in other threads.

I don't have a lot of specific guidelines given to me for the RP forum, and I'm willing to take constructive suggestions as to what we would like it to be.

I like the fan fiction, but dislike when people slag on it. On the other hand, preventing any feedback seems awfully stagnating. I like the guild stuff, so long as people are able to separate themselves from their RP persona and avoid getting upset.

Well, it seems as if we agree on many things then. But I feel as if people should add content to the fan fiction instead of critiquing it, but sadly you can't force people to like your writing lol

I've never had a real argument on Vendetta, just me playing as a bad guy or me playing as a genuinely crazy person. I think it would be nice to see some vets break their persona after the 12th newbie kill lol

But it appears that I've drifted far from the topic.

I am good with RP stories yall got to see my book, but this game is full of people that hate each other for the sake of their "good time"like I am making a HIVE story but yeah, that's what forums mostly do with "known" people of VO that just want to start stuff.
