All we need is some dedicated players. VO doesn't seem to have that many of them. At least, that aren't guilded anymore. All there are is newbs that will probably quit the game sooner or later because they've found a new one. I got to admit, I'm getting quite discouraged. But if we have just 7 more subbed players to make council, work can be done to make a great guild, I'm sure of it.
New player guilds almost always fail.
I don't think it has to do with the level of activity, as I've seen new guilds form from (supposed) veteran alts from time to time; it's more that creating a guild from the ground up is Vendetta on extreme difficulty mode: you are bound to be laughed and scoffed at, and if you don't have a clearly defined mission and all your founding members aren't 100% on board with that mission you will fail.
Once in a blue moon a new player guild does make it, but it's the exception not the rule. Most of the time they all go different directions and end up joining some of the existing guilds.
Pro-tip: don't even create your guild until you have at least 10 players you have talked to and vetted at length that are absolutely committed to your dream.

Phaserlight is a smart cookie.
For example, does anyone remember UTMC? If so can you even remember the name of the newb who created it?
UTMC was an example of a good guild that fell quickly because of a lack of players, a newbie who had no idea what he was doing and inability to find Veterans who would help.

I created SMA aka ROCK and even I had trouble keeping council at first but there are ways such as paying for a second account to fill a spot
Yeah, you are probaly right Phaserlight. I should have waited longer to get enough subbed players to help create this guild. I was just exited, you know? VPR died and I wanted to make a band of brothers to help me in my adventure. Too bad Johnny here is going to steal my tag. I just don't know anyone but the two council I have already who are dedicated enough to help me.
And starblazzz, I unfortunatly do not have the money to do that.
VPR died and...
Uh, no, we're still around. We're actually recruiting. It's a long process as we've been infiltrated once a while back.

Of course VPR still exists. All old and once heavily active guilds still exist. Only newbie guilds die. So declaring war and announcing you will "destroy" a guild is impossible. Inactivity is as close as you will get in a war with an old guild.
But VPR is not active. Last I've seen a VPR was like a month ago.

Didn't mean to offend you Phaserlight, it's just I don't see them anymore.
It takes a lot more than that to offend me. I still play; others in my guild do, too. However, I tend to be on the quiet side when I'm on. About the only time I'll voluntarily announce my presence is if I'm letting people know I'm on patrol.
Anyhow, I don't wish to derail this thread even further. Let's see if [SCRP] can pull out of this stall against the odds.

I'm working on it :)
Wait a sec, do I only need seven council members to prevent the guild from disbanding?

"Warning: If a guild has less than six (6) Council members, it will disband within 48 hours."
Excellent! Only need one more council!! :D
The Dentist as a former 'VPR could have joined to help you to make grayspace safer. But you would have to change the name from Scorpions to Scrap Metal.
^ :D. But then that'd be a carbon copy of the guild-nvm.
[SCRP] has pushed through! 7 council! /me celebrates with a bottle of champagne
Watch out, pirates!

just like hive ( idk how long we lived lol) but really your guild sounds like it wont last long. i give under a month. remember what happened to TIDE?(edit backwards oh who knew plot twist!) they got beat up and disbanded.
They didn't get beat up. The CO left. And it's still formed.
I knew a [SCRP] once.
