The following is a public message on behalf of Trident Arms Syndicate:

"For the past several years we have maintain a strict set of peaceful and neutral policies. These have included not getting involved with the Serco-Itani conflict, never attacking stations, and staying out of guild politics. We've done this mainly because we are a manufacturing guild and are often hauling extremely value cargo through space. It serves you well to befriend as many as you can. And this tends to be easily done when you are selling them valuable goods and services.

Moving forward, we will be shifting our focuses. Although manufacturing is a lucrative business, we feel as though we have made our fortunes, and are ready to move on to bigger things. We will continue to provide manufactured goods and weapons, but feel there are more dire issues that need to be addressed.

With the latest rise of conspiracy theories involving the Itani, Serco, and UIT governments and the alleged agreements going on between seemingly guilty criminals and supposed "neutral" organizations, [TRI] feels it is necessary for there to be a beckon of light amidst the chaos.

Henceforth, we shall fight to defend all that is right and just. We will empower the weak and strengthen those in need. When someone is troubled they can count on us.

We will continue to maintain positive relations with both Itani and Serco factions to the best of our ability. We will also continue to deny all private and public treaty and alliance offers. [TRI] will only answer to [TRI] until the current universal crisis is resolved.

Having said this, it is to my deepest regret that I must inform you that our highly valued and longtime LT, Xeha has decided that he cannot take on this mission. It is his opinion that more fighting will only worsen the current state of affairs. There were several others from [TRI] that shared his beliefs. It was agreed that we would break up the company and that they would continue our old mission under a new banner, taking many extremely valuable members with him.

However much we disagree, I have the utmost respect for Xeha as a pilot and as a friend. He has taught me much and I know his leadership skills will make he and the group that has followed him successful in the future.

And as our two guilds will work and operate completely independently from one another, I would like to ask all other guilds to respect that this is a peaceful division of the guild and its members, and not expect to hold either [TRI] or the new group of guys accountable for each others' actions. Xeha and I will remain friends, as will many of the members from both guilds, as this isn't something that can go away overnight. But we will not be conducting guild-wide negotiations with them on any sort of special basis.

Those of us that have taken up this new mission are sad to see them go, but understand. And those that were unable to follow feel very slighted, which is also understandable. Some would say that after all the hard work that has gone into building [TRI]'s peaceful image, we are throwing it all away. But we are not. We are simply choosing to promote peace with a little more force.

I would hope that the universe at large would see the good intentions behind Xeha's new guild and show the same respect to them that has been shown to [TRI] for so many years.

Alas, it is time for [TRI] to become the caped crusaders of greyspace. With the credits we attain from our business, we will put back into sweet gadgets to help keep the wormholes safer. We will stop at nothing until all is well in the universe. Then, and only then, will we go back to our peaceful and passive ways."

Explain this extremely ambiguous passage. Does this mean that he will be siding with VOID because he sees it as being the best way to achieve the old TRI mission of manufacturing and providing weaponry?

It is correct that i resigned from TRI due to a more or less hostile takeover from the leadership.

In TRI, we had democracy. The new changes were forced onto us and at the time of writing, every active TRI has resigned.

The new changes Darth Nihilus enforced are:
- TRI is no longer a neutral Guild
-- TRI will take stations
-- TRI will defend stations
- Neutrality rules regarding combat has been removed
- When a player makes a mistake, he will never be kicked and everyone sticks together forever (i let you figure out WHY this new rule is necessary)

These changes were often for discussion, since almost a year already. Tough everyone disagreed so it never did happen.

After restoring their neutrality and fixing up their messes, Neon Black had a "glorious" plan. He needed a reason to step down from TRI but without officially leaving.
He came up with the guild bank stealer plugin. Unfortunately for him, he cant even code a single line. So Darth Nihilus created said script and even used it in TRI while developing (ie, its in the bank history).
Following the plan, Neon Black was kicked. Some weeks later, Neon Black wanted "his" Guild back and started to pressure Darth and obviously KoS'd every TRI under his alts.

While also in the free week, smudge-o-tron quit VO and left a hefty 1b credits to TRI and their ideology. As the time seemed right, plans from Darth Nihilus (mainly pressured IRL from Neon Black due to being good friends) regarding the changes noted about were set in plan.

We had hours of discussion and almost everybody disagreed on the changes. I was the first to leave cause they lied and back-stabbed me. I fixed all their messes and once they have enough cash and complete neutrality, they throw it all overboard.

Darth Nihilus offered help and "generous" funding so all the TRI that leave, could recreate a new guild in the old spirit as a fresh start, which i appreciate. Yet there was just one issue, not a single TRI that left was paid his profits. They having almost 1.5b in profits from others without being willing to part with it. I have received a 100M "donation" to recreate a new guild in the old ideology. Till today i demanded at least 50% of what smudge-o-tron donated and not the guild bank itself, as Darth Nihilus parades tis change as a guild split. I dont need the money, but i think its wrong to take someone else cash and do such a huge change.

I resigned yesterday before Darth Nihilus made these posts. Mainly due to the non neutrality, lying and backstabbing against fellow members and the change to dictatorship instead of democracy.

Now im in the progress of finding a new name and organizing a new Guild with the old neutral and honest players. It will be a all neutral non alliance manu/arms dealing kind of Guild, basically by the old spirit.

At first i didnt want to leak that much information, but seeing as how we've been treated i think everyone deserves to know what happend, instead of a cryptic not much saying post. Im deeply upset by all this changes and so are others.

So Darth Nihilus was PART of that plan all the time? Woah dude. That is really low. Although I have to admit, I did not expect it.

So basically Darth Nihilus and Neon Black want TRI to become more like TGFT?

Also, I think everyone deserves clarification on what Darth Nilihus meant by "shifting focuses." Shifting focus to what? To... fighting? Fighting what and who?

Well he did mention keeping wormholes safe, but also says TRI will only answer to TRI.

To me this means they are going to do what they want when they want and if it interferes with other guilds than tough shit.

I'm interested to see where this takes theme. Best of luck to you guys. There's a few small guilds out there interested in combat, maybe you can offer them the leadership and skills they need to form a solid guild.

I've been in TRI about as long as I've been playing VO, nearly 6 years. My history extends longer than just the life of Linked Destinies.

I've stayed so committed to TRI over the years no matter what because they offered me a family; That family consisted mainly of four people: Neon Black, Nihilus, Nyscersul and my own father, prinv.

Nyscersul abandoned TRI for VOID, for reasons I can now see. prinv left for TGFT years ago. Neon Black is nearly never active anymore. All I had left for me in TRI now were Nihilus and its peaceful ideaology.

Now that has been stripped away. TRI is no longer the guild I used to love, and it has no place for me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back some time ago, I was given leadership of TRI because Neon Black was no longer active and knew he wouldn't be for a long time. Although I only led for four months and I didn't do all that much, I strictly upheld our established policies to assure our future. As the guild became more active and I was beginning to slip away, we all decided that Nihilus was the best possible choice for our new leadership at the time.

Some time later, Nihilus began speaking the idea of replacing the Commander position with his own bot, and replacing most of the council with his alts. Sten Duncan had serious reservations; he believed Nihilus was only grabbing for power and that there was no real good that would come of this change. Others felt the same way, but did not believe in it strongly enough to oppose him. I knew that myself as well, but I let Nihilus convince me that doing things his way was for the better.

Now I know that was a terrible mistake... I should never have left TRI to the hands of Nihilus. Although, reflecting on the events of the previous night, I'm not sure he would have stepped down no matter how much opposition he received. No one supported these new policies, yet here he has made the changes.

As of this day, I have nothing left in TRI. The guild I loved so dearly has been swept away by the doppelganger of the last remaining man I considered family. I have resigned from TRI and will be joining the new embodiment of the old ideology.

Well there can only be one master and one apprentice. Balance is restored

Hahaha man, Darth Nihilus surely was a good actor. I can't believe he just lied in the face of everyone. The only reason he paid up the 100m was because he got scared that because of all the attention the case got, the covers would blow.

Well that backfired, Darthy.

Declaration of war on the remains of TRI will come soon.

LOL @ blaqk begging for 100m so he wouldn't , " look like such a shit CO".
Jan 02, 2017 Inevitable link
What's also funny is that other members knew about this beforehand ie) xeha, and noone said anything.
Jan 02, 2017 Xeha link
@Inevitable: i've been informed about what they did long after it happend were all damage was already done. There was no reason to even create a bigger shit out of it. Thankfully this is all gone now.

Ah okay, my apologies then.

Oh pop I wonder what Neon Black/Loki Wotansen have to say
Jan 02, 2017 Inevitable link
It doesn't matter. Neon black is still in your guild.
