Quick followup to greenwall's bizarre statement about morality:
Regardless of how subjective morality is, if you want to have an easy time being part of a group, or have your "achievements" and "accomplishments" applauded by the group, it would definitely help to follow the moral norms of that group. Whining about how the people should just get over it because "morality is subjective" is just dumb, because it really has nothing to do with any sort of "platonic moral high ground." It's all about how your peers respond to your actions.

I'm not going to list all the "cheats" I'm aware of other people employing, but rest assured Sieger is in very good company in this game. You yourself might very well find yourself on that list. Your point is invalid because you can't disregard the subjectivity of morality. Case in point: Bojan is ok with his allies "cheating" but is not ok with his enemies "cheating". He may be an extreme and very obvious example, but deep down in all of us we would be more apt to pass a blind eye to our own friends "cheating" than we would our enemies.

This is not to say that there are some morals that are more commonly shared. There are, but they are largely related to widespread harrassment and ongoing negative affects to gameplay. The issue that myacumen has with Sieger (pk farming, presumably) was long ago stopped, corrected, and Sieger was punished. Nobody is being affected now, nor is Sieger alleged to be engaging in any forms of "cheating". Rather, the only thing Sieger is engaging in now is pwning your asses, which is evident by the fleeing of enemies not only from sectors, but by logging out of the game itself when he talks in chat, and also by the acquisition of this badge [VOID wins by staying on topic].

And how do you think people determine how to respond to people's actions? Morality, that's how. Honestly I wouln't be so keen on pointing out myacumen's anal pain if it wasn't for him taking it out on Sieger all over the VO forums. If he kept it to RP, that would be fine.

you may think of greenwall any way you find appropriate... but you will not deny that he has a point right there concerning the treatmeant of so called "cheaters".

1. a lot of people have engaged in shady activities over the years. not only the controverse VO legends such as estrian or sieger but even people who were supposedly everybodys darling such as nahin lor or mr_spuck. remember dull bot? in my opinion that is "cheating". is mr_spuck shamed here for it? no way! does he deserve being shamed for it? god no! it is a game.
remember when binds could dodge for you? is nahin lor shamed for having used this once in a while? he is not. did anyone ever shame The Red Spy who happens to be a prominent SERCO pilot for receiving a trident type M entirely for free by developer accident? no way.
did anyone ever call ARF_01 names because he got a whole trident type M for FREE by the developers when Ipslet left ITAN roster and the members were frustrated the Trident they built for her would be wasted and in a moment of warm nicety ARF_01 was given a Trident?
did the hammer of society EVER go down on ONE aswell as ITAN who have billions of exploited credits? no way! everyone was being cool about it.
did that hammer ever go down on Ecka? yes hes a crazy and commited trader. but he did not "trade" for 10 billion credits...
did the hammer go down on those who have exploited combat xp by /exploding themselves over and over like a decade ago? no?

you see... i could go on FOREVER! i've been here since 2005 and i've seen "cheats" at many occassions but never did people exaggerate so much.

2. the whole pk farming thing is probably about the least "cheaty" as many of the other exploits that have been abused in the past as it simply gives you NOTHING over ANYONE else in this game. who cares if somebody has a lot of PKs and how he got them? if you do take a step back relax and take this game a lot less seriously.

3. stop the damn double standard'ing. if you are going to complain about people PK farming do not invite them into your guild. estrian prosis is in SKV right now and as far as i remember he was the core reason sieger started his troll mayhem.

4. stop criticising cheats on these forums. if you feel you must THEN criticise everyone. dont pick a player you simply dont like and throw mean words at him. it is pointless and stupid. and you look like an idiot when you advocate for a cheat-free game while being in a guild with players that are just as guilty.

5. effin' stop feeding the trolls. sieger is a very transparent troll. he announces ahead when he wants to piss somebody off. hes become such a red towel to some of his enemies they start RAGING when only he levels up something or unlocks a BADGE. this is crazy and if you want to really annoy this guy then do not comment his actions at ALL. its the only way to make such people offended. if you tread into here your head red and your eyes glazed and shout at him "SIEGER I HATE U SO MUCH U CHEATER I DONT CARE ABOUT UR BADGE" he'll have a good laugh. think he doesnt deserve that? so just ignore him! it helps cease toxicity while you stood above your enemies actions.

@joylessjoker: i would be lying if i wrote what you suggested. i do not worship any guild or think that their leaders are awesome. i argue for more respect in these forums. i am against constantly talking about supposed "cheating" when that is not wanted in here. and i am strictly against disrespectful behaviour. you are among the biggest offenders in this very thread. even more so your tone is usually rude and unfriendly even to people that seem to have done you no harm. and now i am your latest target.
