I actually think my inital responce to this was too harsh, but, pay me 200k, i will leave you alone, most the people I see in these cracks are a) trying to level alts b) trade level 6+ c) alpha/beta.

I refuse to believe any of these people cannot get 200k, just pay me, once maybe enough, I do keep lists.

Sometimes I botcrack myself for various reasons. As a friend of mine, one of these reasons is pure blast-away-your-frustration. After a whole day of software development, sometimes I dont want to think much and just blast a few bots away.

Sometimes I use the botcrack top level off a friend's alt character. At least 'til combat 1 or 2. It's quite frustrating to start a new char from scratch. Getting such a head start is enough to make

For the few that know these cracks, there's always been an implicit no-attack rule/courtesy in there. I've shared the spot, at times, with people who's be foes outside the rock. Enjoying a moment's peace. Sometimes chatting as we go along.

Then comes along som prics like Kixkizzle, not to mention one who's only purpose is to screw up your moments peace. Kix certainly doesn't need to track me down in there to be able to kill me. He can do that anytime outside the rock. But he savagely did me *in* there anyhow using rockets even, and also having a ball at harassing a friend.

Now Yoda wants to join the prics club. Fine. And bring your friends along if you want. But you're eroding away one activity that some people, paying people, use just to blast away frustration. While this is a minute reason for me to use and stay on VO, I know of a couple people that this rock represents a good 50% of their VO time.

Are they lame? Nope. They PAY for that privilege to vent off fume.

Is it an exploit? Nope. The devs have known this for quite some time. Enough time to have gotten rid of the rock in question(s), change the dimensions or fix the bots.

Well, frankly, you don't need to do it in grey, look for botcrack spots that AREN'T in Edras.

If you haven't figured it out, in grey PvP rules, and if you want protection, you're either going to have to pay, or you're going to have to bring it with you.

As far as the implicit no-attack rule. That's NEVER existed.

I'm sure it has between you and your friends. But I've been killed in there, just like in many other places in grey that are full of sector traffic.

Quit whining about getting killed in places that are dangerous.

EDIT: oh, and by the way, I PAY as well. I pay to have a place where there is no law but at the end of a blaster, and that place is GREY.

eh yea, I agree, cracked roids are rather tranquile.

Sometimes I come on VO to float around... no shooty shooty for me then, because I haven't the adrenaline left. (I might shoot someone laconically if they're trying to kill me)

Have to say VO explosions are rather nice. You might find me doing some things more evil than crackbotting/botcracking... like making clouds and clouds of mines and watching explosions. VO for me is the *shiny* :)...

There are other cracks then k 3, if you just want some peace go there. If not you'll have to pay the 200k toll. Gray space is not nice.

Its so easy to type /givemoney "yodaofborg" 200000 , and the amount of free player kills I have got out of that roid? sheesh, if it isnt an exploit, I dont know what one is, keep up the botcracking.

You can pay me all you want, I'm still going to blow you up. I worked hard for the levels I have, and you will too. If you want an easy fight go blow up collectors. Whether the devs know, dont know, dont care, or agree, I consider it pretty lame, and as such, keep it from happening whenever possible.

If you want to crackbot, that's your choice. If yoda & tramshed & others want to shoot crackbotters, that's their choice. Neither side can stop the other. We'll see if the new pathfinding code affects crackbotting at all.

So if the devs ever get round to introducing easier/less annoying means of gaining combat XP, or even simply raise the XP bonuses for botting, will you kill everyone? Because they won't have worked as hard as poor old you.

On a side note, I really do like fighting people inside roids, its adds the requirement for a whole other level of piloting skill, otherwise you play roid pong. If you just moved a few of those tasty cracked roids right near a few choice wormholes and dropped the bots from all cracked roid sectors, they could become quite the attraction.

My levels remain unafected by the small use of a botcrack, my frequent bounties made sure of it. I have killed my Itani standing myself, and if feel so inclined, I will make another vid showing I can bot. I got locked out by a paybycash mess up, I leveled a char (thankyou temporalis, if your still floating about, mail me, I kinda want chewie back...) to 5/7/7/4/4 in 2 days the normal way, you will not get these skills by botcracking.
