Heya,

Just a quick thought really, it seems no one has commented on this. But, the problem is, i get no experience from my kills in my dent using the turrets. I get reports from my passengers saying they get experience when using my turrets. Why don't I?

I have a capital ship which sports four capswarm turrets, and yet using them is essentially nerfed, i have killed thousands of bots and not a single point of xp, except the odd time a bot wanders it front of my hive gat.

Its a little strange that its not giving the xp, which is why i posted it here, in the hopes its just an over sight, and not intentional.

I do some crazy combat in my dent using the missiles... I just wish i could get some xp to show for it... I should have leveled up like three times with the 6000 kills i have dont since completing my dent. It just seems crazy really. Not to mention five pvp kills that also didnt register combat xp.

Please help...

I see no reason turret kills should not gain XP... I hope it's just an oversight

Are you using a plugin such as turrethop? If so, try without, if not well defo a bug. I've gotten XP from using my own turrets in an Atlas, why would a trident be different?

It's been like this since before you could use your own turrets. Even in Deneb you don't get any from using the NPCs turret guns to kill stuff. Plugins don't affect it.

On one hand, it would make sense to give weapons XP. On the other, it's way too easy to have a noob sit and farm XP by spamming a missile turret without the slightest risk of dying.

That was locked because you erroneously thought it was a bug - but Incarnate and others explained to you that it wasn't a bug but the intended function. This appears to be the same case.

I'm taking nothing nowhere. This isn't my thread. All I'm saying is that it's not a bug, it's a suggestion.

So Nycercsul should make a suggestion post. It's not rocket science.

Seemed like a bug or an oversight, to be honest. I dont understand why the developers would choose to remove all xp gained by a trident unless by its main guns... Just make most of my combat pointless really...

That being said, i will copy this across to the suggestions thread - let the devs decide which place is more appropriate.

And yes, I am guilty of the cut and paste naughtiness.
