It gets to about 13500K complete... and it starts on the media.rlb file.... right after a manual file... right when it starts the media one it says "Disconected" I have redownloaded the file... I have reinstalled, restarted, retryed.... MANY TIMES... exact same thing happens every time

Are you running out of harddrive space?
Does your ISP have some sort of maximum download limit?
The updater resumes the download if it stops suddenly so rerunning it should continue the media.rlb download as long as you don't uninstall Vendetta.

Can you copy and paste all of the text in the window, please? Or at least all the stuff after the "---". Actually, the --- too, because I want to know whether there are three or four "-"'s.

i have about 14 gigs free space left.... and every time I restart the updater... it starts from where I left off but just disconects right away everytime it says its gonna start DLIn the media file

LifeDrains please copy and paste the text from the Updater window and post it here so we can solve this for you quickly.

Have you tried deleting the whole C:\Program Files\Guild Software\Vendetta directory and reinstalling? The uninstaller leaves junk behind.

Obviously you shouldn't have to -- something isn't working right. First I'd try deleting the media.rlb file, then retrying, and see if that works. If not, delete the whole directory and reinstall.

If you've done that, then this is beyond bizarre.

i have deleted media file... still same problem... at same spot... i havnt physically deleted the whole dir... ill try that now and tell U what the outcome is...

Is this computer just used by you? did someone else set this up for you? also, is the disk quota system active?

maybe we should also try a .zip not a .rlb for download?

this personally sounds like something is not allowing you to store anymore onto your computer...you've got a update stopping at 13325k, and a direct download stopping at "28%" of a "47500k" file which is "13300"...that is close enough to be exact. I'd like you to try and get this file. www.starfreeze.com/screenshots.zip (Vendetta sector screenshots). It is 18.7mb so it's a nice bit over the mark where everything is stopping. If you can get this file then I'm gonna be more confused than anything. If it does stop say what percentage and any errors.

Also, what connection are you on? dialup, cable, dsl, t1, etc etc.

im in school... when I get home I will DL the file....

I am on a Qwest DSL... u have norton anti-virus... and the thing that has my suspicion is a program called Cyber Sitter... makes the internet "safe" for my 2 little brothers... i hate it though lol

also... when i get home im gonna do a full dxdiag on my pc... ill paste the results here... will be long though :)

also... if i do get this figured out I expect to be offered a job at guild as a bug tester/troubleshooter hahah
