Black holes? Good or Not?

Mar 29, 2007 MasterOfPower link
i think a black hole in every other sector would be a good addition to just using wormholes. in the blackhole would be nothing and u would be randomly forced into a static storm location like when wormholes screw up. and even better you couldnt tell where one was going to be and by that i mean u could be mining and heading back to a station when suddenly a BH opens up outta nowhere. also when in the static storm you would have to go to a worm hole opening to get out. a problem with this would most likely you having alot of expensive stuff on board like ores and goods for missions and then suddenly you are 8 sectors away.

PLEASE READ PRIOR TO POSTING A SUGGESTION

when that fails, a quick search can get you to the obvious repeats:

Black Hole

amongst others

only if we can banish MOP into it do I support black holes.

Something needs to be done.

Everything MOP has posted has been spam.

We delete it from our in boxes, his posts should be deleted from this forum. He should be prevented for at least two weeks from posting to give him sufficient time to actually think about what he is posting.

This guy is ruining the suggestion forums with his blathering.

Lots of off-the-shelf forum software (smf, vBulletin, etc.) has user bans, mutes, and fairly granular user management capabilities. I know what "i'd" do if MOP posted on the [ITAN] forums...

... break in the "asshat" medal and only allow him to reply to existing posts and NEVER post new threads. Couplea clicks and it's done. :)

Sorry MOP, nothing personal.

Give him a break. Lecter and genka and our other trolls have done worse.

Let him grow up a little, although I think posting restrictions would be good for him.

i dont see why you guys make him out as a spammer. he may be a bit annoying at first glance but it can be accounted for little experience on public postings or perhaps lack of search skills.

quite frankly, i prefer that to the trolls and those who think they're so smart-ass that they think they can lecture everyone. there should be laws against those.

im sorry if if been a bother to u guys, imma stop posting for a while to think about this

although i have news... my computer guy is comin over tommorow (friday)to install VO and i promise i wont be such a foolish spammer ( or what u guys think of me) or a newb.

upper case, I'll not go into all the details on why I think he needed to be treated like a spammer. I will say that I agree with you on the troll and smart-ass issue.

MOP. At least you seem to be heading in a reasonable direction now. I expect that eventually you will handle yourself better.

You really do need to read the "Please read before posting a suggestion". I would say that at least 95% of all suggestions that are going to be made by new players have already been discussed. I wouldn't expect you to know that, but I know we would all appreciate at least a cursory search for a term like "Black Hole". If you had done this, you would have seen the thread that is less than a month old. If you had something new to add after reading it, then by all means post into that thread.

Oh and stop pointlessly swearing in your posts. Its unnecessary and annoying.

Good luck with your computer guy, whatever that means.

Yeah, good thing I'm not forum admin here. They would both have unflattering forum avatars and descriptions, as well as the same restrictions I would have placed on MOP. I find that I can be very creative with the derision when forced to do so.

Ask Lord Spidey about his [ITAN] forum karma. That's being overly gentle. I haven't even bothered to adjust his avatar for him... yet.

Back on topic, I will say that black holes are BAD for any matter which strays inside their event horizon. However, the "closed timelike curves" aspect of black holes is GOOD and fairly interesting to me.

Of course, the difference is that Spidey's a simpering little bitch. While I won't speak for Genka, I'm not going to keep posting if some self-righteous tool-bag starts subjectively tossing around that sort of BS. LeberMac for philosopher-king!
