PLEASE READ PRIOR TO POSTING A SUGGESTION
Dear user:
The Vendetta Suggestions forum has been up and running for several years. Many fine suggestions have been made, and many have become part of the game. To avoid repetition, please see the list of suggestions (below) that have already been submitted. This is an incomplete listing that incorporates some of the more common ideas. Use the SEARCH link to locate even more threads pertaining to your suggestion.
If your suggestion is new, please post it.
If your suggestion is a significant variation on a suggestion already posted, please start a new thread and link to the old thread in the first post. That way we have some separation of discussion periods without having to flip through pages and pages of stuff looking at posting-dates.
For instance: If there is already an old thread about landing on planets, create a "New Landing-On-Planets Thread" thread and link to the old thread in the very first post. Cover whatever new ground you want to discuss in the new thread. As a general guideline, if a thread is older than a year, make a new thread that references it rather than posting to the old thread.
Note: Additional threads are linked as [2] [3] and so on.

After receiving a few requests to unlock this thread in order to provide a single place to nominate threads to the above list, I have done so.
Briefly: I do not intend to log EVERY suggestion, but suggestions that come up more than once. I'm looking for a fairly exhaustive discussion of a suggestion with pros and cons represented. A thread with dev comments would be especially prized.

Put an IMPLEMENTED stamp on that "hauling equipment as if it were cargo" thread.
"cargo loading, selective" looks to be implemented :P

1. Make the radar indicator for a jump point to be a color OTHER than green -- perhaps orange -- to make it stand out among the turrets, etc. around a wh.
2. When in the Nav screen, sectors with conquerable stations should be marked with an indicator showing a station is present, preferably with some minor change that indicates that the station is conquerable as opposed to normal.
3. When mousing the cursor over a conquerable station's sector, the current owner player/guild/whatever should be displayed in the sector info.
4. If a conquerable station is under attack, its sector should have a red tint on it to indicate an attack is in progress.
5. Turret locations on Moths and Atlases should be able to mount mine dispensers (or possibly other large-port weps) that can be controlled from the tertiary fire button. The requirement that these turrets be manned by a second player makes these turrets virtually useless because no one flies that way.
6. Radar extenders should work in fogged sectors, such as Dau K-10, just like they work in a storm.

Better support for joysticks.
Some joysticks, like the Saitek X52 have a number of POV/Hat switches, yet you only see one listed in the wgaf.cfg file. Quite a few joysticks support a shift/mode feature, again the X52 has three modes, yet they are ignored, or treated as three different buttons, same thing with the Cyborg X F.l.y. 5 - it has a shift button that is treated like just another plain button.
An example of what I think this would permit is a follows:
Mode 1 (X52)/Unshifted (Fly 5, etc): F/A mode enabled, where the throttle acts like a throttle
Mode 2 (X52)/Shifted (Fly 5) F/A mode disabled, where the throttle controls acceleration now, both positive and negative
Mode 3 (X52)/2nd Shifted button (maybe two buttons pressed at once, say on the Fly 5): Station (or mining) mode - where autopilot might be helpful, or mouselook would be turned on. Something, defined by the user/player.
Some (all?) of this can already be done, to a limited extent, by the software/drivers provided by the joystick/gamepad manufacture (for windozes mainly), or a third party software program, such as the gamepad software for the Mac and Linux platforms. The problem is you have to use a third party program to control all of the buttons and axis, or program some of them, and enable other parts of it in VO's options/controls/configuration area. Just having one area in VO, where all of the buttons and modes/shifts can be programmed, and controlled, would be nice and cut down on potential problems

More diverce customizing game play(i.e. charator indavidul identaty.)
After play your game i found idavidual identaty limited to player name, race and/or faction.
The only outward changes were a few ship vaients and alittle color on the hull of the ship.
I my self could see a need for improvement in this area. One thing that may add some alure
to the game would be an outword texture to ships with different armor it added. This would
give possablity of an oganic or mecha feel to ships appeal. You could for example imply
geometric or reptile scaling to give this effect. Multi coloring too can also give more diverceity
for a indivdual apperence. A second adaptation can be applied to the game would be weapon
astetice apperence outwardly as you add and remove them. This in it self would give a great way
to enhance the individual identity to each player expireance in the game. Thease are just a few
small but dramatic changes that may intice existing player and as well as attract new players to
this mmo for future enjoyment.
