This looks like a good idea, minus the current duration of time it works. Bump up the drain so it only lasts 10-15 secs, then it's a +1.
You still haven't posted how many hours it would take to accumulate the bot drops. I can't say that I'm a fan of devices that can only be sanely deployed by those with copious resources.

As a general principal I agree... however, this kinda thing should be rare for the sanity of the verse. Plus, player-run economies require demand, and I'd love to see more demand for these kinds of drops.

Make the super-uber-mega-weapons requires 2 players to operate, making it a turret.
Why not make it also possible to open a random unstable WH with same gun? Engage, dig hole, cross and discover where you are. Short lived one, as unstable suggests.
If it has power enough to close a stable wormhole, should also be enough to open a new one.

It's a bitch enough to create in its current form that I wouldn't want to nerf it further... not to mention that the very creation of the thing will require at least 3 people working in concert to get the levi core.

Because right now there is absolutely no reason to get +800 at Valent, so I was giving them some love. Conquerable stations could use love too, though, but the RP (storyline wise, not player wise) there has less potential.

Why own post if the idea is same gun, when shot on WH close it. When shot in empty space open a WH???

it's already clear Alloh that it isn't a normal gun, as it doesn't do normal things...
as for the ability to open a wormhole, I don't believe one device should have that kinda power. so... go make your own thread, and don't hijack this one :p.

Anyways, I still like the idea but still think it should be a one to three shot rocket deal (Lport) or maybe even take multiple ports... though I'm not sure how hard that would be.

I like the overall idea, but it's never going to happen as long as there are people like me playing VO. Imagine a group of me's sitting in a newb system effectivly cutting off access beyond said system? I'm sure that making the newbs not able to leave Dau or Itan would piss them off more than just poppin em, I could even use the faction system to my advantage. Several *bad* scenarios pop to mind, like making people KOS because if they don't kill me's they cannot leave the system.
Valid concerns Yoda, maybe there is a way the devs could make the device not function on capitol systems? or restrict it to nation borders/grey space?
Hmm, maybe if you are in nation space, triggering the device should set you temp KOS to the local faction, just like violating the NFZ. Still gives a short window for abuse, but yeah, not as much.

Valent faction is going to be mutually exclusive with something else, I think, so it is a little awkward to give something super special to them. But whatever.
Atice, rarity in this case means the device exists but the people who you'd expect to want to use it, like CHRN, wouldn't bother with the very long and mind numbing grind. Maybe that's what you want..

I really, really don't expect you to grind at all. I expect you to either pay someone else to grind (and I think there are plenty of people who would sell to you or one of your alts), or kill someone who just did the grind and take his bootie. You don't need to do everything yourself in VO.
Moreover, killing one levi and a few queens isn't THAT mind-numbing. Honestly, it's sorta fun. The original list would have been damned mind-numbing, this one isn't too bad given it's potential.

It's only expensive due to time, and you only have to look at ecka's bank to see what time can do for a person :P
Doesn't change the point though. And if you are willing to keep on losing the device which takes large amount of time or credits to create... I don't see why you wouldn't be able to cause just a little chaos.

Atice: Hahahahaha, you would have to kill many many leviathans and many many queens to get the desired drops. The drop rates on those things are quite low. (Unless they've changed it recently?)
And grinding for credits is no more fun than grinding for bot drops.
