Again, I gotta say, I still reckon go with the full treatment. As far as I can tell, instances of abuse were dealt with, and Greenwall made a good point. 1 player /ignoring a douchbag does not dissuade douchbaggey. Complete , temporary ostracization does.

But Faille, people don't get /vote muted for guild/group behavior. They get muted for behavior on 1/100/public channels.
Greenwall's argument completely ignores the point that blocking them from 1/100/public channels provides the impact to dissuade future behavior. There is no functional benefit to blocking them from guild/group, and leaving it in place only opens opportunity for abuse.

If you're going to be a douchebag in GUILD CHAT, then it is up to the GUILD to moderate it. Not the public /vote mute command.

Might I also point out that nobody commented on my excellent alternative means of dissuading /vote mute abuse. It keeps the bite that /vote mute has and disincentivizes abuse of it... a win win.

I like that suggestion too Greenwall, but the two should be implemented in parallel rather than as one or the other.

No they shouldn't. Kierky and the rest of you are worried about it being abused. Cut out the temptation for abuse and you have what you want. This not-muting-guild-chat crap weakens the /vote mute in exchange for Kierky being able to run his third party plugins.

This has everything to do with plugins. You are pissed because TGFT muted you and your IRC bot in retribution, cancelling your ability to talk to anyone in game and this is your way of getting back at them. Grow up.

You absolutely give a shit about it. TGFT blew off your demand for an apology and one day later you put up this post. Hardly a coincidence. If you can't see I've argued the merits clearly and succinctly then something is blinding you -- my guess it's the same thing that makes you think TGFT or I care about your KOS: your overblown ego. Possibly Savet's cards are blinding you too -- I'll admit they are hard to look away from.
