Hoban,

All of my accounts are paid accounts, not that it matters.

And, can you read? I +1'd the op, but just added the the pilot of the turreted ship get a warning as well.

@Harpo,

Actually good sir, and Big can correct me on the exact details, this bug/exploit was used by a ITAN/SKV player and reported last year via support ticket and nothing was done. All of a sudden your buddies in TGFT are using it and when called out on it you jump to their defense. So it looks to me like the real cheaters/exploiters are sticking together to cover each others asses.

Now #DIE are using and I'm sure that TGFT/ITAN don't like it being used against them it will get fixed.

Hoban,

One cannot use an exploit they do not know about. None of my hounds had turrets ;). They are new to me.

Kenny,

Turrets are turrets. I watched you do this same tactic in a moth, with witnesses. Stop playing dumb.

@SkinWalker

I don't know what TGFT does, I don't know about everything ITAN does, all I know is how individuals have interacted with me.

To some people an exploit means using an existing bug in the code, but to me that's too narrow. To me it's using a flaw in the system that cannot be explained as behaving rationally or within one's RP.

Here's one example: You intentionally running over mines to get blown up thereby hurting another player's standing. This I consider exploiting a flaw in the faction system. Hard to claim this is your RP unless your RP is of an immortal Kamikaze pilot, and I don't remember you ever bringing that up. Also it's not a humanly rational act to die just to cost someone else some money to spite them for not paying you directly. The rational act would be to ignore the mines or blow them up from a safe distance.

@Hoban-Wash-Washburne

I say leave it broken like all the other exploits, Inc should instead re-imagine and remake the whole faction system better.

And please save the RP for the RP forum.

Dearests Harpo,,

I not RPing. I state facts. You reply in spite. I don't understand what you mean?

Seeing as how this exact mechanic was reported to the Devs a year ago, and they elected to let it stand, bitching over who's using it is retarded. It's not an exploit, it's just shitty behavior the Devs were wrong to leave as-is and that they should fix.

Until they do, exploiting it isn't wrong...it's just [TGFT]-esque behavior. One does not whine about such things, one merely avoids doing it oneself and looks down one's nose at the shitheels who do not.

@Harpo

Running over mines left behind by someone who was careless enough to do so in nationspace isn't an exploit. It's a lesson in consequences for careless actions. And it's a public service (what if some unsuspecting newb were to come along).

But I also concede that it's leverage. And I'm a criminal. The two naturally gravitate toward one-another.

@SkinWalker

You could have said you don't agree with my definition of 'exploit', but arguing against what I didn't say doesn't move the discussion along at all.

OP: if so, Dent pilots need /weapons hold and /weapons free commands.

They should also be able to mark priority targets, friendly or hands-off targets,
and to change the target of any and/or all gunners.

Being a dent pilot myself, I think that the pilot of the dent should be responsible for weapons fire that comes from his ship. However, I would like to see a way for dent pilots to give a key that allows docking but not turret control.
