Marketing rewards

There needs to be some kind of reward system to refer new players, similar to the mentoring system.

Currently official VO marketing is weak, and most of the new players(That stick around longer than 8 hours) are finding VO via other players.

Give us a tangible reason to recruit new players like a badge, ship, or addon.

Neon Black confirmed for wanting VO dead and empty.

At least give reasoning behind your -1 instead of spamming threads of people you have personal vendettas with stock images.

Getting more people playing isn't a tangible enough reason to do it?

Side Note: You have no room to talk about posting stock images or any images for that fact.

I think overhauling the mentor system would solve this. It's a joke right now and everyone knows it.

-1 For greenwall's reason mostly, but also because I believe our reward already exists: a larger playerbase.

New players alone is not enough a motivation for the existing community, if it was this thread like many others wouldn't exist. The same logic can be applied to mentoring, why give badges and addons for mentoring players when mentoring should be reward enough.

New players = New money

Money badly needed to solve the many issues and problems VO faces like development of certain content and management of existing resources.

There's a difference between RP memes and cancer. My images are of a pirate nature(Black Lagoon/One Piece) and always are accompanied by text while Neon Blacks use of recycled stock images with nothing to contribute to the suggestion but trolling if you can even call it that are mearly cancer and a poor attempt to lock the thread out of fear of new competition and eventually drastic change that comes with the expansion of the community player base.

No one is stopping you from going out and marketing VO on your own and mentoring players, all I ask is we have the same support shown from officials.

Personally I think Neon's Meme is perfect response. As such here is mine (please note i put the text first is it is relevant)

I disagree with the OP, as is my right to express. These are community forums for gathering an overall acceptance or disapproval of player suggestions.

Thanks for a few minutes of lulz this morning tho

Not exactly.

All: Suggestions is a place for Suggestions and civil discussions of their pros and cons. This is not a place for attacking the person making the suggestion or people replying. Please keep your comments focused on the suggestion - or don't post. I have made edits and deletions here, but will threadmute repeat offenders.

That is the illusion.

"Suggestions: Suggest changes in gameplay or other ideas." It's for discussion of merits and perhaps improving upon the OP's idea. It's not a voting forum.

You should delete the votes then starting with Neon Blacks and related off topic posts about internet culture imageshock.

You should re-read like 2 posts above where god-warrior whistler clearly stated this isn't a voting forum.

I was actually responding to "These are community forums for gathering an overall acceptance or disapproval of player suggestions." with my comment. This is not exactly a voting forum, but a discussion forum. I guess people can "vote" but it won't have nearly as much impact as it would if they gave reasons.

I've tried recruiting some. They were turned off by the interface and aged graphics. I don't disagree with what you're saying Mi5, but if you look at some of Incarnate's posts about the new mobile population (and subsequently leaving of those players) you'd see that the problem isn't that Guild doesn't have enough players but that those players do not stick around. Retention is the issue here. Figure out how to keep players. That's what should be rewarded.

Ore is correct.
