Auto-undock people who only want to chat in 100

I suggest that there be an automated facility to undock people who sit in a station for too long. This timer should shorten for every message sent to 100 (the more you talk, the more often you get undocked). Also, the home station should automatically be set to Odia M-14. They should launch in an EC89 and any attempt to re-dock or turbo should activate a Freeze Gun, aka Greenwall's PCB enhancement suggestion, against their ship. N00b sector l4z0r turrets could provide this "Freeze Gun" effect.

I will give a symbolic +1 for this man. Make it apply for everyone without a full sub. I know it will never happen, but I completely understand the motivations of the thread creator here. The annoying big mouthy f2pers are a huge problem for the community.

Hellcat: Nope, he only means to undock talkie-talks who do nothing else. If you afk, you don't chat. And if we only apply it to f2pers, you should be fine.

I assumed it was directed at me... Mouthy f2pers (or me for that matter) can be simply /ignored.

+1 if I ever get a sub, -1 if never get one

(Though I do Admit that I sometimes just sit inside the station and talk, it's because I'm in no shape to fly)

I think the point here is that there are too many tweens downloading the game and then just sitting in 100 smack talking. If you aren't going to fly around and play the game GTFO.

Some alternative ideas that may be easier to implement:

1) It cost 10000c or 10 crystals to join 100 (they can stay in 1 at no cost)
2) 1000c or 1 crystal for every message sent to 100
3) dev warped to random grey sector if no credits or crystals

If they have to pay for access to Channel 100, then they will just talk smack in Channel 1, which will merely get in the way of those who need help and those who are giving it.

I'm not too savvy about dropping new players in a random sector for excessive chatting, either.

I do like the idea of forcing people to undock or log out if they sit in station too long. Too many players complain they don't have credits to pay pirates, or that they don't have gems to buy ships capable enough for combat (no comment there, please); we need to get them more active so they really have no reason to complain. however, once you start chatting in 100, time really does fly; a reminder like a forced undock would be helpful even to me.

A Reminder in chat which goes like this?

1st Warning to Final Warning: [Channel][Station Name, System and Sector][In-Game Time] (Random message reminding you)

Forced Undock Warning: [Channel][Station Name, System and Sector][In-Game Time] Undocking in 10 Seconds

No warnings! Let them all wonder if they accidentally touched the wrong button!

j/k, sure that would be nice, though the message preamble is rather long

[100][Sikan Orbital, Arta Celaestis L2][XX:YY:ZZ] This is your #nth warning; undock and fly, you bum! Your hogging up station resources!

-1 this has always been a problem but it is easily solved...

/ignore "playername"
/leave 100

In this case we don't need new stuff - you just need to use the tools you already have.
I can think of way better ways for the devs to spend their time then wasting it on a policy like this.

If you don't feed the trolls need for attention then they usually go away.

The suggestion was not directed at any specific player. It was more about venting a general frustration with the number of players around that are not actually playing the game. Ignoring them or leaving 100 is not an effective solution as the chat is not the entire issue.

I realize this is not going to be implemented. That's fine, it wouldn't work anyway. I do want the new people around, including the F2Pers. I just want them to actually play. If they are not going to play, then they are taking away from the game, not adding to it.

+1 less talky more explody

While I get that "mouthy f2p tweens" are annoying, you don't get to tell others how they can play this game. I sit in a station, often for hours, while doing other stuff. If you are claiming I am "taking away" from the game, I refute that emphatically. I offer advice to newbs, etc. as well as my random comments regarding what ever I am actually doing IRL.

Seriously, if someone's chat bothers you, just /ignore them. It's not your call to say how others enjoy the game.

+1 for wanting to fix the 100 chat issue, but totally -1 for this suggestion. it wont fix much, sry...

Eh, how about someone can be 'voted out' of a station, similar to a mute, and the are temp KOS until the escape/die, I could be classed as one of the 'mouthy people' but I talking from space + I'm just annoying, and not really at the level of a CERTIAN INFAMOUS FREE-TO-PLAY. I also sub so, lol
._.

i like the idea but /ignore and /vote mute (if players really dont like him i.e rodena) or just simple /leave 100 can fix this

Those actions don't actually fix the problem. Many of these players just talk but don't play. So we have no way to interact with them in game as a player in another ship. Even if the players were out working on their basic miner II badges, that would be an improvement over just being keyboard warriors in 100.

Ok so if those options are out of the window what than about mouthy people that chat if they are mining or just staying in station? captaca does not help i think,(not F2P so i don't know i did hate that thing coming up when i was fighting stuff lol.) i also don't like the pay crystals cus when i read it, it felt like the "devs"(not actually pointing to you guys just saying an idea of the mind) wanted F2Pers to pay the crystal deals (counting they are really newbie and don't know much and that they don't know how to farm collectors.) maybe something that see what they say? like if they talked a lot and if that works they have something that "identify" in a sense what they say. ok crazy idea in head, (i know wont happen) something that can see in a language sense and how the player said it in a manner, like if it was read in a hostile or hateful tone then something can happen?( hey that works great with ecka's talking lol). again just saying ideas that wont happen.

I get that "mouthy f2p'ers" are annoying, but again, it's not up to "you" to decide how others should play or enjoy the game. If someone wants to just sit in a station and chat, and you have a problem with it, there are solutions already available in the form of /ignore, /vote mute, or /leave 100. It's not your call to force them into space. Put on your big-girl panties and get over it.
