The title says it all.
And if their ship is destroyed?

Luxen, if their trident or goliath gets destroyed, then they go to the default home we all have in our nation or odia based on our standings.

Would the destroyed ship be replaced? if so how?
It can be replaced by the capship's internal stock, or if no ships are available then the player must merely pilot the capship.

Needs to be specific which capship - if you have a dent and a Goliath.

Actually the player/owner simply can be dumped to the cappie in all cases since a ship isn't actually needed....

Trident/Goliath are NOT stations. Calm your tits, player-owned stations are coming.
If a player undocks in a x-1 or a rag from a capship, there should be a penalty for dying and a short window allowing attackers to destroy the capship. If the owner is allowed to home in the capship, that essentially makes it a nonrisky endeavor since he'd be able to pilot the capship away from attackers as soon as he respawns.

Many that +1ed this will rage when their enemy gets away in a half-beaten capship.
I don't really see a use for this other than saving your trident, and planned out fast travelling.
Either way, I don't think this is that big of a deal and am not against it.
+1 to the idea, but with a more fleshed out implementation.

There are pros and cons to homing in a capship. Yes, it means you'd be able to resume piloting it immediately after your fighter is destroyed without any ability for your attackers to block you from reaching your capship, but it also means that you don't get the option of buying a new fighter to resume fighting. In fact, you could end up with all of your ships destroyed, leaving you stuck in the capship until you can limp away to a capship dock -- assuming you manage to escape at all.
I do think this should probably be restricted to the larger capships though.

You are all missing one thing about this. Currently the owner always has one ship aboard. When you build/buy a capship it spawns in space, and you fly into it with a ship. There has to be a ship or how would you get another one inside?
The big issue with the way it works is, if you managed to lose all your ships, you wouldn't be able to dock another. You would be able to dock with the capship station, but if you undocked in say, an ec89, your capship would still be inside the station. How would you dock it?

Just load the ships as cargo while the Trident is docked with a station. Or does it not work that way?

Yes you still can. Just invite someone else to dock your capship with a ship, then that person goes to a turret and log off or self explode.
