Thank you.

Looks like we need to organize player police again. Too bad the defbots make no distinction...

The truly sad part of all this, is the fact that some of the people that are signed up on the Mentors list(!) are the very same people I see day in, day out at J1, doing these things.

More or less ruining the gameplay experience for the very people they signed up to supposedly HELP.

Go look for yourself sometime, ganking in J1 is like crack to these guys and they cant stay away from it.

<Looks like we need to organize player police again. Too bad the defbots make no distinction...>

I think that's the biggest problem. Pirates being able to hide in populated sectors to avoid the consequences of their actions.

We need a fix for this so that being the the aggressor does not confer such massive advantages.

If you mean me, i dont kill busses, never have....

And i wish a player police would start, i was trying to incite war between me and everyone else, but that didnt happen, so i joined a pirate guild, and so what if i camp? how the hell am i supposed to get PvP without first flying round asking everyone i meet to duel me...

Infact, while in the CLM a helpless bus pilot flew into the sector, we had 2 serco and 1 itani present, NONE OF US WOULD FIRE UPON THE BUS, and two were n00bs.... nuff said....

If your not talking about me, then errrm maybe i have a guilty conscience for killing one bus pilot (maybe more, its hard to see sometimes, and if they seem to be running away at 180+ its not a bus,... <-- why i warn) but i sent my standard hail from 2000+m away (so i had no visual) and the guy turned round and opened fire, an alpha showed up so i switched target to the alpha THE BUS PILOT TOOK ME DOWN TO 23% before i killed him (i asked the alpha to leave, or i would shoot the bus.. what i should have said was, do you mind if i shoot the bus....lol) nm.... furget it, im no pirate nomore, got boring quick, im leveling for friday ;) feel free to pirate me ;)

[Edit]
I also need to say i reported the fact that defbots (except station guards, which are no problem for me..) do not show up in DAU for me... this does need addressing and i supposed is why i even advertised that fact (i even showed a UIT alpha that fact... i flew round a DAU capitol space station at -1000 UIT with no strikeforce or other pest intervention.. It took me opening fire on the station guards for them to take notice, so i agree it needs addressing... my theory being the defbots were too busy floating round serco space aimlessly looking for me (i cannot get back to SolII without a chase...lol)i could also kill a player there, i could have easily camped L-10 or L-11 DAU.... with only the station guards being a pest, if bus killing was my game, thats where i would be... sorry its such a long post, i forgot to put i agree...lol

Permanently station a Strike Force group in the sector? Shorten up the response time, and force the pirates(serial killers) to keep jumping and/or leave the sector/system?
This is very populated space, worming from Dau home space to the next system UIT controls(snort)...this is inner space....not a fringe edge wormhole to the grey systems.

<--- Gets Rag, loads two scrape metals, 3 small and 2 large ML's, Installs neon sign stating "I have Ion Cores!! and 10% left on my hull!!'. Heads out to gray sectors towing sign saying "Free cargo" :)

PS. scrape metal is just in case i got blwnup, dont want em going away empty handed :)

When you joined UIT you joined an nation with a very small military. Thats a risk you take for better profits all around (read: can enter all nations at start). If you want security join Serco or Itani, they have much larger space which allows for more secure trade routes, and a more able military. The way I look at it is, your UIT, you are independant, you make your own way in the universe. Don't expect your "nation" to stick up for you.

"Don't expect your "nation" to stick up for you."

Considering you are a daily J1 camper, this statement makes perfect sense.
No backstory, opinion, or otherwise justifies griefing behaviour.

This thread is about offering solutions to this problem. You offered no solutions or suggestions, and tried to deflect the issue on what the UIT can do to stop campers from ruining their gameplay experience.
Not something I would expect from a Mentor, but your statement speaks for itself.

We may be lacking in the uber bot department, but as a fellow UIT player I can say I always stop to help traders in need. Also, camping J1 is one of my favorite activites, not to hunt traders, but to gank pirates! :D

I'm with Phaserlight...

I'm also a UIT Vet... I'll keep an extra eye ball for campers in Azek J1.

Also I would like to report seeing some UIT Strike force in serco space... Rhamus or Dantia... It looked like they were heading home... But who knows... I think the UIT Strike Force should NOT be able to enter Serco or Itani space... Gray systems are ok. It could be the cause of slow or no response due to the strike force being on the other side of the galaxy.

We die too yah know; and it's better than camping -stations- IN ITANI SPACE *stares at Ksah*

That and it's against Syndicate policy to kill newbs; Station camper

silentsuicide' s comment was made in a sort of role playing manner but it is nevertheless accurate. UIT space does not have deep borders, therefore your nation will not protect you. Plus, UIT is not a nation.

Also, ss can be a Mentor, but not for you or yours.

We're still in a test, but maybe the game play itself will deal with some of these issues. The UIT consistently has the largest number of players online. The Viper guild is a multi-nation anti-pirate guild. Call for help.

The 'Mariner' character is not aggressive yet I've spent some few hours camping a WH to dissuade pirates and it seems to have helped. (ok, laugh at me)

Suggestion to traders who are pissed off:

Make a thread, call it: "BigShot!"
In that thread, everyone who has ever been pirated can list the names of the pirate.

Then, us pirate hunters can shoot them for fun and profit.

And when someone shoots a pirate, don't be afraid to tip :D
