A petition, not a suggestion - Make corvus a No Fire Zone again...

Reasons being not so its easier to blow trader types up, or pirating easier (i already blow people up outside stations) - but so we can have sector style wars again...

...Imagine (im sure loads remember s7) undocking from corvus prime to see 8 to 9 pilots twisting round the station, shooting the heck outta each other, imagine hitting turbo hoping the station is going to save your ass from the swarm shot at you, imagine twisting through the station, blasting away at the guy in front, while being attacked by the guy behind.

For one, i hated the fact that they made corvus *conform* with the rest of the galaxy, how did i find out it was a NFZ? Fired swarms at john, and he giggled when the defence bots took me apart in about three seconds...lol

Its not a suggestion, its a petition. Post here if you think that corvus should be NFZ free again!

[edit]

Gah we cant edit titles...lol ah well, maybe more will click it thinking huh?..lol

Yes... PLEASE. Come on, you're gonna make corvus have things at lower license levels but you're not gonna let us fight around it? And corvus has an awesome station to fight around. this would rock sooo much... PLEASE?

I tend to agree. Corvus isn't exactly all flowers and love and fuzzy bunnies. Heck, maybe the defense bots around corvus stations should take random potshots every now and then to people with <200 faction. Not to kill, but just because they're pirates and bored of defense duty, unlike the well trained national and corperate defense pilots.

Corvus = Pirates
Pirates = Shooting
Shooting = NO No Fire Zone
Nuff Said.

*signs the petition* even pirates (player pirates) from their own guild shoot eachother :P there should be no reason to make corvus a newbie friendly place (i think that's why the no fire zone was implemented)

Oh yes, please remove the No-Fire zone at Corvus stations

I'm in. I want to try fighting amongst nasty obstacles.

I feel the urge to go against the current and demand that the corvus no-fire-zone extend for the whole of Odia! That'll learn them!

I agree, corvus should probably have the no fire zone removed.

A more novel approach would actually be to have the no-fire zone only apply to attacks on people with +900 reputation or more, as those are corvus's "best customers" and the only ones they would probably care to defend. :)

why not do this for all corvus-controlled stations? i'm for it.

Yes, I would most definitely go along with this. It always puzzled me any way why there were defense bots in unreg space in the first place. But yes, I would like to see all corvus stations as "free fire zones".

I dont know,

I want to first know why the devs put it in, if they had no real reason then I agree. If they did have a reason, then I am wondering what it was and would lift the decission untill I hear that reason.

Maybe it will become part of some missionsets to be able to get a no firezone for a couple of players.

A wretched hive of scum and villany!

But I think the game should warn n00bs sternly, with a big bold message (a 'travel advisory' transmission from their nation perhaps?)... so they don't get a nasty surprise.

actually on that note, I'd like to see random packs of NPC "pirate" bots at the various wormholes in grey space. As it is right now, grey space isn't even dangerous.

My idea of Corvus has always been you take your life in your hands to go there, so I say remove it if its not necessary to some future plot device :-)

since Yoda used the No Fire Zone to get me killed, I'm all for removing it. :-)

*signs petition*

your topic is a little confusing though... it should read No No-fire zone. Double negative, heh ;[

[moved to Suggestions.]

[I wonder what people think the difference between a petition and a suggestion is in this case?]

I guess suggestion implies the devs would have a choice in implementing it, while a petetion, carrying the incredible and inerrant weight of the community behind it, would have to be implemented. ;)
