Anyone else noticing strange color differences after 10.3.6 update? I notice the warping effects are different, and sometimes I get strange shading effects when I'm docking with a space station. I'm running on a PowerBook with Radeon Mobility 9700.

Yeah I get the funny shading effects when docking too. And at least one of the stations in the Dau system really kills the fps.

This may be due to the graphics cards being updated and supporting things unsuported before. Or just improving it, but which may counter ways the program did it before. I think the devs should look at this thread as it my evolve into something big since it IS a kinda big system update. I've just updated and I will be testing vendetta with it now.

For me since the last update 10.3.6 ,the stars do not scintillate any more, the docks bay of input is blue and not white.
For the lags i find the problem; it is the new release of mlnmac , when he's running get lags; when i stop it, it is ok, have no lags.

congratulation for your old president heu...off topic yet
and as said my professors, tertior you are a small stove setter

What is this mlnmac you speak of? How would I stop it?

(P.S. Devs I'd really like you guys to hop on this topic....pretty please!)

Give them a moment to get the update and work with it for a while...I don't want a quick fix that messes something else up.
Nov 07, 2004 macguy link
That's true...I'll wait patiently, I've got a good trade route to run :) !

I am using Vendetta without any trouble on my PowerBook G4 running 10.3.6 ... although I have never had any problems thus far
Nov 10, 2004 raybondo link
I am installing 10.3.6 right now.

VO runs fine here so far on a G5 1.8GHz with radeon 9800 and 10.3.6

i have en emac 1.25Ghz. It has a ati radeon 9200. The graphics are off a little. I have some screen shots. Want me to put them up?
Nov 10, 2004 Celkan link
Depending upon the angle at which I look at lighted objects (the local Sun, ships' engine exhaust trails, lights on station surfaces, docking ports, jump in/out effects both wormhole and sector) they change colors from white to blue to green. With the jumping, ship trails, and station lights, this is rather cool even though it's a bug (IMHO), but because the angle at which your ship is pointing determines the color, the sun and docking ports change color with no transition and it doesn't seem right.

I see roids blinking green in storms (1GHz 12" Powerbook). Shaders work now, btw. No more 1-2 FPS, but 15-20.
Nov 10, 2004 raybondo link
Yeah, post the screenshots of these problems, please. If you don't have a place to put them, email them to me. I'd like to see what's going on too.

That pretty much sums it up up there! I'll see if I can sort through the many screen shots i have and find the ones of the bugs.

Just so u guys know, the nice glowy colours are the shaders working... i can remove the effects you create by turning off shaders which seem to have been fixed! althught the skybox sunds seem to have a colour bug...
