Ok, its not his fault the stupid ctc bots stay in sedina b8 as long as he does, but they do, and its becoming a pain in the ass, especially as the bots this time of week are orne + guardians and a few assualts.

Well, I know what Solra is doing, and I really understand why he feels the need to fly in a straight line for 2 to 3 days (well, not really, heh) but he could have chosen any sector with a worm hole - its sad that it is infact the most populated sector in the universe - but sedina b8 is.

Each hour now I have flown into Sedina B8 to fight someone/wait for someone else to show only to have to kill the CTC bots (which seem to use the new hive code while in sedina, correct me if im wrong) and are an absolute pain in the ass to hit with anything but rockets, and I dont even get any weapons XP for doing it. Of course the other side effect is that the Serco transports dont have an escort past sedina.

I have asked Solra (if you wanna know my ingame name solra, just ask, but do it ingame :P) 4 seperate occasions to use a different sector (and I thought the client disconnected after so long inactive?) but he just ignores the question, and carries on, could we please get him warped out of b8?

I agree with yoda. Solra is causing lot of problems there.
Please do something about that.

This has been an issue long before Solra started flying in a strait line. If the transport is killed IN Sedina B-8 then the bots will remain until they are all killed.

If this was fixed by the devs then I have yet to notice it, and SB being in sector I think has little to do with it, but if it does, the by all means, drop his connection, or devwarp him.

Errrrm, the transport isnt being killed john, and the bots ARE staying because solra is in the sector, but sure, a fix for that bug would be better.

Uhm, no, what happens is the defenders of the convoy decide that Solra, or whoever, is a naughty person and try and attack him. The transport, however, just keeps on going off into latos and the defenders are left sitting in b8, not knowing what to do and trying to attack the elusive anyone-with-bad-standings. No need for blood letting!
Happens quite a bit in Sedina L2 too.

Well a none enemy to serco could do this too. So i dont think its due to them thinking solra is a bad guy.

/me remembers lin in b8 surrounded by Serco ctc bots :P

If I"m in sector they follow me around as well (-1000 serco and all) so I see this happening every time the transport comes through and I'm there. So it's not simply Solra's fault, the devs need to fix the coding on the escorts.

True, but the facts remain.

1) Solra has been informed ingame that his actions are distrupting the normal usage of that sector, and knows the bots will be left behind.

2) Solra could use any sector with a worm hole for this experiment.

3) The code is buggy, and right now, the problem is caused by solra remaining in the sector.

Oh, and john, if a sector isnt used for 15 mins, it shuts down, all bots that were in the sector get deleted, so right now, moving him would fix the problem, if you dont go near the trans (within about 1500m) regardless of standing, the bots do not attempt to engage you. :P

that is a false statement. I've jumped in on the complete opposite side of the sector, sat still and they have come right at me.

And as far as SB goes, I've already agreed with you in my first post. If SB is the primary factor in this issue, boot him from the sector, drop his connection, etc. =)

I was on last night and Solra was not in Sedina B-8 then. I will keep an eye out for him tonight and move him to a safe sector if there are significant problems.

AND, regarding the hive bots, I said it last night ingame and I'll say it again here on the forums...

IF you are participating in CtC and you splash the txport in Sedina L-2 or B-8, (Or Latos O-12 for that matter) it is YOUR responsibility to clean up the BOTS you leave behind!

Sorry, I actually think solras intention is to crash the most used sector ingame, by flying in a striaght line, which I know isnt going to happen, why else would you fly in a line for 3 days? Breach of TOS. me goes to bed with no intention of crashing a sector.

Flying off into the great beyond won't crash the sector, but it might make your character unusable without dev intervention.

As for the stupid escorts... they will be moved into the control of Deliverator before much longer, and as a result, will become much more intelligent about when to follow and when to attack.

Hmmm, did he come in after I had been on awhile? Nobody made any comment, but then I guess maybe people didn't know what he was up to.

As for killing me: I came for the battle and expected to die frequently as I was trying out a different controller configuration. I was also deliberately exposing myself to swarm attacks so that I could work on attcking while evading. It's okay to attack me so long as I haven't asked you to not to - which will be quite rare.
