Also, the download of MsgBeep from http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/1/17439?page=1 yields a 0kB zip file for me.
If anyone has these plugins could he please make them available again?

As far as I can tell the current version of trade assistant conflicts somehow with the recent lua changes in the game.

My guess is it may be down until a new version is ready. May be a hosting issue.

I would watch the plugin threads for a while... there are a couple of plugins that may be revised soon. I understand some others have had issues too.

What does this plugin do? I could possibly whip up something to replace it.

Well it stores and compares prices on stations and lets you view them in a list, I suppose. I played VO back when there were no plugins, so I don't know exactly.
But this is what I want to do: find good trading items while visiting stations.

That gets close. Is that a private plug of yours? Maybe I could adapt it to my needs if you send me the source.

I believe the old one collected a list of items and their buy/sell prices (as available) for each station you visited. You could then select two stations and it would give you a report that made it easy to see what items would be profitable.

LostCause, so far I have not setup a station compare but that is trivial for the most part.

I have set this to be color coded so each item types will get a unique color and natural sorting order. It also pulls the item mass as CU if possible. The downside to this is purchased ships, they will vary in weight.

I am releasing this as a TGFT app. This is the core foundation of trade in the VO verse.

Trade routes: for the buy/sell to work you need items from the buy station at the sell station and it will show only profit.

Item lookup: all stations you dock at, buy and sell prices. each time you dock it will update the cached copy so you get current rates.

No data is wrote or saved between sessions, no config settings and the like. This is due to volatility of the data.

If you find this super useful then you may want to apply at TGFT.

To launch it use /ta

It would be useful if price data was stored when you logoff or quite, then reloaded next time you login. Prices that are from a previous session could be displayed in orange to indicate that this is an old price from a previous session. Hard to implement?

Hard, due to the fact we only can write to config.ini (and those function have issues) or mission notes (which also has issues).
Then there's possibility of using a server but... you need to have one.
