How do I change this account for another user name?
Ive used the cancellation url but it is not helping for my problem
We generally do not change account usernames. We will alter character names via a Support Ticket (left-side menu, bottom).
You can also create a new account with the desired new username, and then open a Support Ticket (from the old account) to request migrating your characters to the new account.

Why did the decision come to random name gen on first account come in to play. Its such a bug bare telling noobs to make a new alt for them to lose progress just to get their name and most of em dont want to even look at support tickets not to mention takes up time going into support tickets for simple tasks like name changes that make more sense to just let them pick on first account alt..
Anewold, the issue here is for an account name, not a character name. Anyways...
To answer your question, at least as far as I understand it, the automatic naming of a first pilot's alt was done to get people into the game faster. It may SOUND counter-intuitive, but a large number of people were probably closing the game before completing the character creation process. Incarnate's posted about this before, somewhere, if anyone cares to dig it up.
The first character gets to be renamed through an in-game system, however, by confirming their email address or some stuff like that? I've not done the process myself, but there've been a number of new pilots who HAVE figured it out (and then vaguely reported how it worked when I asked).
When Incarnate says he can alter character names in his post above, he's talking about name changes AFTER the primary game introduction, for those pilots looking for a name change for privacy, role play, etc reasons.
