Wouldn't this effectively ruin the whole purpose of having two flight models to begin with? You speak of microcomputers wired to people's brains, which is precisely what describes the process needed to pull the equivalent movements of an arcade user in physics mode. What use is this during a race if you don't have 20 fingers and an uncanny sense of precise timing? I don't think there's an advantage. I know.

We are given an option to choose one or the other. But if winning means forcing yourself to choose one, it isn't much of an option to begin with is it?

Whining and pointing out a flaw in the game are two different things. As I said before I'm not arguing for the sake or arguing. I genuinely speak my opinions and concerns as an experienced and avid physics pilot. I've competed in races and I've tested many of the suggested techniques time and time again. I wouldn't be so vocal about it if I had a shred of doubt.

I don't expect anyone else to understand at this point. It's something which literally has to be played through in order to be understood. But I do ask that you listen. You can speak of all the theories you want to counter the problems between the two flight models. The truth is they don't work. I've tried many times and spent many hours doing whatever is humanly possible. These theoretical techniques are just that--theories. You can theoretically do anything, but that doesn't mean it's always reasonable.

Will you please drop this already?

The entire game doesn't revolve around racing, so no, it doesn't ruin the whole purpose of having two flight models.

But! But!

Just say no to re-posting locked topics, kids.

Indeed. It really annoys me when locked topics resurface.
