But has anyone seen or heard of this bankruptcy?:

I thought Strategy First was the company helping with Vendetta?

It looks like their restructuring strategies are doing a lot better than other Ch 11s have in the past.

Marvel comics declared bankruptcy back in '96, but they're still going strong. Bankruptcy doesn't mean they're going out of business, just that they can't pay their debts and therefore, don't have to. If they file bankruptcy and make a legitimate effort to repair themselves like Marvel did, they'll do well. If they use it as a vehicle to spirit away all the company's money and line their own pockets like Enron did, you can be sure they'll have a horde of angry Vendetta fans ready to tar and feather them.

FYI. We've known about Strategy First's problems. They are a retail-distribution and marketing partner only. We directly handle all recurring income, so worst-case.. we're just back to distributing online only.

Also, they've been nothing but cool to us, and they have a bunch of titles launching this fall, so I think there's a good chance that they'll recover.

They also make cool music. Don't forget that.

Even if, in Arolte's own words, it sounds like porn music.

Hey, maybe that's how they plan on supplementing their income to get out of bankruptcy. ;-)

Don't panic. Some 10% of the fortune 500 companies are currently in chapter 11. Its just the way the US economy works (its safe to count Canada as part of the US in this case). Most the time is just a tool to get rid of your employees. It rarely affects the core business.
