Trade good prices

Oct 02, 2004 Drooling Iguana link
Is there any way to check the prices on trade goods from other stations without actually flying to each one and writing the prices down? It seems that, if you've got space ships flying from one star system to another in a matter of minutes, it should be fairly easy to send a message containing your price list to friendly stations, and it would make trading a hell of a lot easier.

Drooling Iguana, no there is no way. Also prices are not fixed and can change very quickly.

It's true that it wouldn't be unrealistic to have sales lists, but it would probably be bad for game-play. It's more likely that once demand gets implemented stations may start asking for certain items and inform players distances away either through certain missions, or station based announcements.

The economy is dynamic. The prices change based on trade volume.

Besides that, purchasing and trading goods is supposed to be a financial risk. You don't know if you'll make a profit. That's what makes trading a puzzle rather than a mundane task.
Games with mundane tasks get boring fast. Vendetta has a few too many as it is without turning trading into one of them.

trading is supposed to be a sure thing for profit, only the amount of profit will be different. How else are you supposed to gain money, by shooting bots hours on end??? Now really that would be fun.

the pirating will already make it a financial risk.

Enjoy it while it lasts. I found selling scrap metal used to be a good profit, but with all the players selling scrap metal the prices have been driven down a lot (~35 credits) to secure the highest price (~500 credits) I have to fly to out of the way stations.
