Operation Black Moth

The Aggresso glided into Latos N-2. Breaking radio silence, it transmitted a two-word phrase: "Black Moth."

A jet-black wraith appeared to detach itself from the side of the station and approached the centaur.

"Buying or Selling?"

""Buying."

"Step into my office."

Both ships docked, and the pilots picked out a table in the corner of the bar.

"Broma, what's with all the radio silence and code words?"

Broma-ba Slick looked around the bar. It was empty. It was always empty.

"Shhh. You never know who might be listening."

The customer shook his head. "Look, I need a couple of Queen Gatling Guns. No questions asked."

Broma smiled. "At Broma's Trading Post, we are always discrete. Let's talk prices, shall we."

A lively conversation ensued. Fortunately for Broma, this one didn't end with blaster fire.

Credits exchanged hands, and the pilots returned to the hangar deck. As the centaur parked outside the station, a jet black behemouth slid out of the dock. As the moth sidled up beside the 'taur, two crates floated out of the airlock.

The 'taur snatched up the cargo, then quickly accelerated away. "Pleasure doing business with you, Broma."

"Tell your friends. You know where to find me."

Broma-ba Slick smiled as he read the order form from Tumblemonster Industrial. With firepower like that, he must be planning something big.

His sources had told him that the Hive had installed some type of new weapons self destruct, which made intact recovery of Hive technology much more difficult. With his network of suppliers, Broma knew he would be able to fill the order. But the price would be astronomical. He hoped Tumblemonster had a sizeable bank account.

Good thing for tumblemonster he DOES have a sizeable bank account, easily over 100 million, so I'm sure he won't mind parting with a sizeable amount.

Well over 900 million actually. And I mind parting with it quite a bit :)

Yes! I'll donate half my earnings from said traderoute to you until you reach your billion mark! (I just gotta SEE this)

Oh, and - Broma! What YOU need is a poster! Thaaaaat's RIGHT! A poster that declares to the universe, "Hey - THIS is the guy to see for bootleg equpment!"

Fortunately, I just happen to be able to produce such a poster for the right price... say... 2 Lawguns?

Broma-ba Slick blinked. A poster? The whole point of having a secret black market weapons shop in an out of the way corner of the universe with a cool password and nifty black ships and everything was to keep it, well, low profile.

Broma reviewed his inventory. Hmmm. Maybe TOO low profile.

He looked at Leber for a moment. "Could you put a black moth on it?"
