Ghost, Slime, Moldyman and the rest of the itani team can post their apologies here. Thanks.
Apr 23, 2006 slime73 link
I apologise for the Itani team (especially _Ghost_ and Blue Streak) pwning everyone, and for ruining your diabolical plan (whatever it was).

From the other thread:

GF everyone! I took out 2 and severely damaged around 4 UIT and Serco before exploding. It was fun firing flares and gauss into the enemies backs, so they would get distracted and veer off from Udjuk Marwen. :)
Good job Blue Streak and _Ghost_ for winning! You two do great together!
Apr 23, 2006 Wiggoggs link
Yeah, thanks for that, Essena. I saw you flying around, but I was too absorbed in the fight. Thanks to that, I got off a couple of kills after I Dropped most of Jolly's life without dying. Great war, everyone! Kudos to my teammates!

The War:

The war had finally begun, after a few tense minutes of setting up quickly. With _Ghost_ back at the helm of the Itani team, I knew we had a very good chance of actually winning this one. He had set us up in pairs to cover each other, and I luckily got the team leader.

So, the Team of Many Valks sprinted off into the fray, the Union and Serco teams smashing into each other only a second or two before we arrived. Quickly, I could see that I wasn't being followed or teamed up on, as I had been before, so I had more free reign. With our primary target destroyed (it had been the sole prom in the War I believe), we split off into our pairs. I had gotten distracted chasing down a Union pilot, who I had tagged, so I went off searching for Ghost. When I saw that he was engaged with two pilots, two Union, I went in behind them and squeezed a flare between their ships. Managed to make them both explode :D

I stuck near him for the rest of he fight, asissting where I could, even if it was just to distract our target. It was a few minutes before I checked the sector list and was shocked that besides Ghost and I, there were only two UIT left and both our Valks were still above 50%. Soon it was down to one Vulture opposing us, Ghost and he facing off and the Vulture had it's broadside to me. So, I let the AAP loose and tore into him, getting the final kill.

After the evnt had been called, it had been announced that J O'Neil was still alive. We solved this a few "rules-following" ways, but I figured why not let him fight it out. Ghost was all the way in Edras, due a mistake in the War sector, so I was in it alone. Luckily, buses don't like flares. :D That was a good fight Jack, and I'm sorry for the mixup.

The Results:

Congrats to Blue Streak and _Ghost_ on winning the itani team their first victory in a while. Each winner received one million credits. In regards to the dispute over J. O'Neil, it was resolved several different ways, all with the same outcome which met to his satsifaction.

Itani - 4 wins
UIT - 4 wins
Serco - 5 wins

We brought on 29 people, keep it up folks! :D

Sun Apr 23 17:20:13 2006] 28b4f0[100] <[syn]n00b> so, I wonder if the UIT are aware of the fact that their super secret channel wasn't terribly secret?
[Sun Apr 23 17:20:30 2006] 28b4f0[100] <[syn]n00b> (thanks to, believe it or not, "J. O'Neill" )

[Sun Apr 23 17:20:52 2006] 28b4f0[100] <Ecka Estenk> lol noob , but it meant we knew who was around and on which side
[Sun Apr 23 17:20:57 2006] 28b4f0[100] <invisiblish one> i saw him mistype it
[Sun Apr 23 17:21:02 2006] 28b4f0[100] <[syn]n00b> uh-huh, sure
[Sun Apr 23 17:21:27 2006] 28b4f0[100] <[syn]n00b> you accuse me of being a spy for both UIT AND serco with nothing but your mild dislike of me to back you up

ANd now for the line to tie it all together....

[Sun Apr 23 16:55:48 2006] ffff00(group) [Sedina D-2] <Essena Zela> velvet is probably coordinating with the serco and UIT
[Sun Apr 23 16:55:53 2006] ffff00(group) [Sedina D-2] <_Ghost_> most likely

The ONLY time ANYONE during the night on the itani team even ACCUSED you of collaborating.

[Sun Apr 23 17:21:48 2006] 28b4f0[100] invisiblish one doesnt accuse n00b of spying
[Sun Apr 23 17:22:02 2006] 28b4f0[100] <[syn]n00b> well, maybe next time I'll fight for UIT
[Sun Apr 23 17:22:12 2006] 28b4f0[100] <[syn]n00b> because the itani certainly did

Again, only time were those lines in OUR GROUP.

[Sun Apr 23 17:24:00 2006] 28b4f0[100] <[syn]n00b> as if anyone really cared about 'tani's plan to team with sercos and attack jolly rancher

Yet another thing known only if you were in the group. Bite they tongue.

P.S. - If a guide would like the full logs, please, don't hesitate to ask me for them.
Apr 24, 2006 genka link
Wow beloved, you've discovered the best part about logs! They can be cropped and rearranged to spell out whatever you need!
(Although I still fail to see why you included the bit about the UIT channel being 155. And most importantly, why the hell you put my "uh-huh, sure" right after them)

Now then, for my uber-fast crop of the chat I consider relevant from yesterday,

[Sun Apr 23 15:54:44 2006] ffff00(group) [Sedina D-2] <_Ghost_> Well, Genka, I hope you dont intend on spoiling this for us
[Sun Apr 23 15:55:05 2006] ffff00(group) [Sedina D-2] <_Ghost_> Everyone in this group should know that Velvet is Genka
[Sun Apr 23 15:55:38 2006] ffff00(group) [Sedina D-2] <_Ghost_> He's got good itani standing though, so i'm not sure how he plans on screwing us over

[Sun Apr 23 15:56:29 2006] ffff00(group) [Sedina D-2] <_Ghost_> im forming a new group people, everyone leave this one. We have a spy in our midst

What amazes me most about this whole situation isn't even the fact that the whole group lemminged right out after ghost, or even the fact that you've cut me out of the roster entirely, even though I fought valiantly for the itani for all of fourteen seconds, but the fact that it took the combined efforts of ghost and Essena Zela just over a minute to go from the assertion that I am genka to the baseless assumption that I'm a spy for both the UIT and Serco.

PS: I'm pretty sure I saw someone claim that ghost was a great leader (something about a plan and a lockbox) last night, which in my mind, brought up another "great leader" that happened to be paranoid, vindictive and arrogant as hell. Surprisingly enough, he also enjoyed getting rid of people for no better reason than not liking them.
Apr 24, 2006 softy2 link
I am all for getting rid of people just for not liking them! Many ex-guildies were rid of in this unceremonious manner!
Apr 24, 2006 piglamamonkey link
To set the record straight, the Serco team was only 5. Haka vanished ten minutes before the start. We declined Fox Viper's offer to join because he is UIT and this is a nation war after all.

As for the action, I could say the effective team was made of 4, because I had one of those days... Fortunately Mike-L and lucky strike were up to the task and managed to fight until the later stage.

Thanks to Blue Streak for organizing!

Genka logged just before the nation war with: "Hmm, I have an idea."

Moments later, an Itani in a bus pops up to join our team.

Why would a person who has slandered me numerous times in public want to be on the Itani team?

I made the assumption that genka was planning on doing something to hinder our team, because, well, when has genka ever done something useful? That and plenty of times have you gone out of your way to ruin people's enjoyment of the game. I then made the decision to form a new group without genka.

The assumption was not baseless. The assumption was based on your consistent conduct for as long as I've known you in this game. If you wan't people to believe you have respectable intentions, you should try being respectable. Until then, don't expect to be trusted in an Itani nation war group.

As for accusing me of being arrogant, now we've discovered an accusation that's baseless. If your definition of arrogance is me acting in the best interest of my group, then arrogant I must be. I'm sorry if I somehow penetrated the hard surface shell that is Genka and actually hurt your fragile little feelings, so much that you felt the need to post about it on the boards. But until you start treating people with respect I see no reason to do so to you, and I certainly see no reason to trust you in the same group as me.

Sorry we spoiled your little plan, or spoiled nothing if you really didn't have a plan. I don't see how it affected you anyways since I'm sure you weren't planning on cooperating. In the meantime, you can go play with the players you haven't offended in one way or another.

P.S. If you think I enjoy having to boot people from an already heavily outnumbered group, you're gravely mistaken.

Why thank you Mr. Ghost! All is forgiven.
Still waiting on the rest of the itani team.

Meh, I got taken down early by lucky_strike, but I came back in my trusty wraith and picked up a good bit 'o loot, including a couple of gauss IIs, a Neut III, two Gatling Turrets, and some batteries.

Just wondering, is there any way I could get an official salvage contract for these things?
Apr 24, 2006 genka link
Speaking of ruining my foul plan, if anyone did it, it was Dark Knight here. All I got was three neuts IIIs, a gauss cannon and a fast charge battery.
