Toast to the fallen

May 13, 2006 Dihelical Synthesis link
To all the people I've deported from this universe...

To Mogul (I think), who was the first one to fall before my rockets... I was probably as suprised as he. I have had many a successful rocket throw since.

To MysticRogue, who fought long and hard in her Maud, and died valiantly for my first (and last, incidentally) bounty. Fetched me over 2 million creds in 10 minutes, the fastest cash I've ever come across.

To Jaden Protarus, Eximus and Keria willennium, the only three (poor newbs...) to ever duel me.

To all of the Itani I was forced to kill in order to prove my alliegance to the Serco Dominion so I could buy a ship that I never actually fly anyway... I like the valk better.

To G o D, who I was not QUITE egomaniacal enough to actually fight, but I'm sure someone killed him eventually, right? ... maybe? ANYBODY?

To all of the shit-brained uncouth unaligned would-be pirates that no longer muck up grey space... but are constantly replaced by their innumerable buddies (what factory do they come from anyway??)

To a truly outrageous number of prosus assaults, that fight like sissies and boom like fireworks.

To LeberMac, who fights drunk and dies happy. *hic*

To Axia, who was always serving the obsolete weapons of tomorrow, today. (Axia is dead... killed by whoever makes Law Neuts)

To [BHu], outsourced by a few nerds in a parallel universe that exist as gods in this one (I'm not making this up!) when by divine intervention, bounties ceased to exist.

To [TRB] whose stay was a short but hot one. You will never be forgotten (or forgiven).

Whom do you toast?
May 13, 2006 Borb II link
Haha some how I doubt any one killed G o D, I mean he's a god right?

Back on topic, my toast is to all whom fight for their nation, mostly those along the border on both sides.

/me raises his Roid Rammer in the toast

Mystic raises her glass.

Win or loss.....

To those I have fought beside.

To those I have fought against.

And a special toast to the one that taught me to do both with honor.

To all those that fight for the causes they believe in.

I can still remember my first kill, it was somone called Ooq. It didn't count because I accidently rammed him before pressing fire.

My last kill, I forget, its all a blur.

To my brothers and sisters in arms that have given the ultimate sacrifice both in game and out.

To Marten, Shape, Tumble, and those I forget (sorry) who taught me early on what it means to fight with all you have and also the joys of using dual joysticks.

a toast to all i have fought, wining or loosing, that gave a nice spectacle and showed heartiness
May 14, 2006 mgl_mouser link
To:

Shape whom I managed, by sheer luck only, to poof a few times (accounting for 3 of 10 Itani kills)

Kixkizzle whom I have yet to pop even once. I still hate you for poping me in the cracked roid! Cheers :p

Mecha Touriaus whom I've managed to pop a couple of times but still gives me a heck of a run for my money. He was the first to stalk me in Serco space.

All Serco and UIT pilots I have ever fought that: didn't run away (except when it made sense) and kept a positive attitude despite the any outcome.

To Joyce. You keep me going ^^

To Smittens. You may be a d**k but you've taught me well in combat.

To Screwball. Without those races, I'd be far less known and far poorer (and have far less fun)

Those are the three major influences for me.

LeberMac rolls over enough in his ventilation duct in order to catch this transmission:

To all the people I've deported from this universe... as well as...

1. Thanks to tramshed for being my first PK victim, even if it WAS in a Wraith with Jacks before the proximity warning was instituted.

2. Thanks to Churin Imami (long departed... ?) for being my original mentor and stuff, curse him for leaving.

3. Thanks to Smittens for inviting me into [IA]. Lord knows he had no idea what he was doing when he did THAT.

4. Thanks to GRAIG da One, who told me about crackbotting in Jallik right before I was about to give up on my endless march towards pilot level 9.

5. Thanks to azdgari (long departed... ?) for the WH mapping. That stuff still rocks.

6. Thanks to UncleDave, who never tired of sitting in his SCP whist I threw Rev C after Rev C at him.

7. Thanks to PickAxe Pete (long departed... ?) for the Behemoth duels with popcorn. And for being the only person who was under me in duelranking. At least for a while.

8. Thanks to Sebastian, Apex and Borb for valuable combat lessons. Thanks to Smitty for attempting to provide valuable combat lessons.

9. Thanks to MechaTouriaus for the endless Rev C on Rev C duels in B8. In later years, I will curse you for early-onset arthritis.

10. Thanks to the Vipers [VPR] for good training fights and good backup when I needed it in B8. I'll do that movie when I figure out my soundcard problems, PROMISE!

11. Thanks to the Makchuga crew (Miharu, Joyce, Erik, Jan, et.al) for keeping me supplied with tequila and keeping my ventilation ducts clean.

12. Thanks to martin and [BLAK] for the origination of the Deneb Run, and thanks to Screwball, TGFT & EnB for picking up the tab after martin's mysterious disappearance.

13. Thanks to Monk of Akan/Moldyman/Erik C./Blue Streak for the Corporate Sectors run. Glad it's back.

14. Thanks to the devs for their perseverance and good humor whilst operating a game on very high level with a low-level shoestring budget.

15. Thanks to RelayeR & Obsidian, my 2 favorite guides. Heh.

16. Thanks to FiReMaGe for IRC, who never joins when I give the /guild invite IRC command...

17. I'd like to thank the academy.... (YOINK)

To smittens, the cowardliest, most pathetic loser to ever tear a hole in the fabric of the universe with his ego.

And to Moldyman, who swears he'll beat my rag one of these days.

To Leber, the best drunkard... the best.

and to Mystic Rogue, winner of the best-toaster award 2006.

Borb II:

I've killed G o D... with my rag. or was that G0D? I forget...
May 14, 2006 smittens link
Wow top of the list! I guess I'm not "rusty" anymore! Anyway, Cunjo, there's no need to make your fixation on my awesomeness public.
May 14, 2006 Cunjo link
Yes smit, I am truly in awe of your immense ego. It's little wonder it spans five dimensions since it can't fit in just the traditional four!
May 15, 2006 Ghost link
To Icarus. Wherever you are. My greatest enemy. It took me months to track you down and finally kill you ONCE after you blew up my unarmed atlas back in beta.

To Sputnik. My mentor.

To all the players, obnoxious or not, who make this game what it is.
May 15, 2006 bojansplash link
To Sun Tzu, my long lost friend.
To yodaofborg my first and best mentor, archenemy and greatest pirate in VO.
To old BLAK /they know who they are/ the best bunch of misfits I ever had the pleasure to play and fight with.
To Ghost, Niki & Eckala-Ha-Bashor, the best wingman any fighter could wish for in a battle.
To all lame missile spammers who made me grumpy from time to time.
May 15, 2006 yodaofborg link
Awe, I got mentioned, twice! :>

To all those that have fallen to my guns, and to all those brave (or stupid enough) to shoot back, this ones for you!

/me raises his 10 pint glass, and downs it in one.
May 15, 2006 Norseman link
i Raise my glass, to all of you fine VO players.

I spesially raise my glass to Alamar, who teached me how to dogde rails, and to Bojan who teached me how to do basic dogfighting.

and to Yoda and the rest of you boys and girls for all the great fights the past year.

skål!!
May 15, 2006 bojansplash link
Yay! Norse, the "never give up, never surrender" newbie that over time turned to be a formidable opponent.
Cheers mate!

A toast:

To those cut down in their prime by popcorn: You can only claim you were laughing too hard to fight the first time.
May 15, 2006 Screwball link
To the devs, for making something that satisfies my Wing Commander withdrawal.

To ViciousNanite for inviting me into TGFT when I was but a lone trader in the big universe and the guild was still young.

To the rest of TGFT, current and former, for keeping it going strong for so long.

To Martin and the rest of BLAK for showing that players can make this a better place for everyone, and for entrusting me with The Deneb Run.

To Blue Streak, Miharu, and Joyce Sanders for all their help with The Deneb Run, especially on weeks when I couldn't make it, and for running the Corporate Sectors Run so I get to race too.

To the Itani pilot who's name I can't remember cause I don't think he's around any more, who gave me my first real PvP combat training and taught me how to fight up close.

To all the pirates that have ever shot at me while I was flying a trade ship, you make trading fun.
