Upcoming Nation War...

May 15, 2014 Sieger link
Hello VO Community.

Since there has not been a Nation War last week, and since we commonly miss a host or the Nation War is delayed, I have decided to revive it by (hopefully) acting as a reliable, returning host as my time schedule allows for me to be online Sunday nights.
However, there will have to be some changes, such as to the time when it takes place, since there has been some confusion about it in the past and since the time changes around the world have seemingly affected the number of participants in a negative way.

So from now on, Nation War will be hosted at at 20:30 GMT (VO clock)-time!
I will advertise this in-game during the rest of the week, so no one misses out on that minor change. It is sort of an experiment to see if there will be more participants when I do it a little earlier, as there seems to be a period of inactivity around the usual NW time right now

Another interesting aspect I would like to make noise of here is that I (and hopefully many other people) have noticed that the lag issue seems to have vanished. momerath42 has hosted a small event recently and even though there were around 10 people in the sector and a huge amount of bots, there have not been any lag issues.
So for all those of you who have stayed away from NW for that reason: Give it a chance, I'm confident things might be good again, even when we have 20 or 25 participants.

The next War, Nation War #393 will be hosted this Sunday, 5/18/2014 at 20:30 GMT in Sedina D2. Rules are the classic NW rules, found in most previous Nation War report-threads. The current prize is 20 Million. If you wish to donate to the prize pool, feel to contact me in game.

Thank you for your attention and for reading, hopefully we can bring NW back to the size it deserves!

EDIT: Due to request, here are the rules:

Rules:

No camping beyond the asteroid field.
No leaving the sector.
Potential fighters MUST be on time in order to participate.
Most ships and all weapons are allowed.
If two or more teams can promise Tridents, they will be permitted.
If you wish to spectate, you most observe in an unarmed EC-class ship.
Wait for the host to finish countdown before you start shooting.
The last team that stands wins.

Make sure you submit the event via the link on the website. I find there is much better attendance that way.

The "classic" rules have varied from week to week. It's usually a good idea to explicitly state them.

Event has been submitted and rules have been added above. Thanks for the tips, Kierky and ARF.
