If a permanent faction change occurs, temporary adjustments are erroneously included in the notification you get. For example, if I have violated a NFZ when an escort mission ends, I am told, along with all the expected updates, that my standing has decreased enormously with some faction. Or, if I lost a little bit of standing with someone I am temporarily KOS with, I would be informed that my standing decreased enormously.
