Corvus standing decreased slightly

Dec 25, 2004 Spider link
Argh!
I just spent some time hunting a loathed UIT in corvus space, he was KOS with the faction, and I took the moment to kill him there, admittedly inside the No Fire zone, however, at that point I -lost- corvus standing. Which doesn't seem entirely correct.

Ie, what happens is that I (Spider) hunted down a UIT pilot with a KOS from corvus, inside the Corvus sector, killed him (inside the no fire zone) and got a standing drop.

No, not just the KOS on me for firing inside the no-fire zone, but a permanent standing drop :/

Ive found that if you violate the nofire rules enough times youll lose a tiny amount of standing.

I don't see this as being a bug Spider. You were fighting within the no fire zone. The game mechanics are functioning as programmed. You are well aware how this works and, given your past posts, should have known better. You may not agree with Corvus having a no fire zone or enforcing it in favor of a KoS pilot. There had been (at least) one post in Suggestions (that I am unable to locate) that suggested the Corvus no fire be removed. While there is a no fire zone in effect there, you will just have to work within the parameters that are set forth by the Devs.

What I meant to point out is that it is unexpected behaviour to take a permanent drop of standing for that. I have experimented a lot with it in other sectors, both with new players and experienced ones, and various other instances (not only as myself, but mostly) and so far, corvus is the only place where I have taken a drop for killing a non-loved player inside the No-Fire zone.

Normally , the persons standing affects wether you take a drop or not, not -where- you kill them. I'm perfectly ok with being put on a temporaray KOS for taking somone down there, after all, I had the odds on my side. But I do not agree with surprises and inconsistencies.

That means that a permanent drop of standing is not advertised as a reprecaution ( a temporary one is ) and not claimed to be enforced at any point. However, it happened to me.

Is my point a bit clearer now?

Crystal. Thanks for the clarification. :-)
