in-ship group chat for cap turrets
it'd be nice if we had automatic group chat among turrets inside capitol ships. as it stands, turret operators are using sector chat to say things like "concentrate fire left side". attackers shouldn't be able to hear in-ship chatter.
maybe capitol ships could have their own groups that you'd automatically join when you enter a turret? that way, the health of "*IDV Sola" (or whatever) would automatically appear as the top of the group indicator, and you'd know at a glance who else is operating turrets.

Read the bumped thread. IMHO, my ready room tab suggestion makes rather more sense than an auto-group. Reasons:
* Groups are limited to 8 people
* If an when cap ship missions become available, you might already be on a mission in a group when you dock
* We already have the Ready Room, why not use it?

yes, you're right. a ready room tab would be better than a group-based implementation. it should have its name changed, though, to something like "Ship Comm".
