Vendetta Online. Buy it now! NOW!

One question: Would it be a good idea for Guild Software to run an advertising campaign for Vendetta?

As you may have noticed. Vendetta has great bones. However it does need fleshing out.

The current business model is to seek many small scale "investors" (i.e. subcribers) who help sustain and mold the future of VO instead for waiting or a publisher to plunk down a large sum in exchange of a significant loss of control over the game development.

I am confidant there will be a major advertising event when the game has been filled out with the story-line and missions.

I know Guild has hired another programmer and once he is up to speed, the implementation of new game content will begin.

I think that VO is a bit too expensive.

Also, I think the time we buy should be otherwise. It is rather user-unfriendly way that user buys month that will be used - no matter how much he is online.

What I am suggesting, is that it could be that the bought time is spent only when online, no matter of real time - as like with the trial.

That way, I would gladly pay $10 from 15 days, if I lose the paid time only when I'm online. Would lure more users as well, I think.

Pay-per-play-time has been suggested before, and was something that sounded like Incarnate planned on adding eventually. But, I disagree about VO being too expensive, it is one of the cheapest commercial MMO games (AFAIK, it IS the cheapest, but I'm not omniscient), and $10 for 15 days of actual playtime would be too cheap - unless players were playing more than half-a-day each day of the month, it would be cheaper to buy the $10/15 days play than the $10/month, and it should be more expensive to buy less time. So, I'd suggest $10 per 5 days of playtime.
