More player interaction

From what i've seen, the game needs to be more player based.
Making endless missions for the trading guild and prospecting minerals can become very boring after a while, more pvp is needed.
My idea is: make a big part of the universe where players can conquer stations, form guilds/nations, and fight against others for resources and such. This way even a new player would be involved very fast with guilds that need more support for war and missions. Maybe make something like a station management where the leader can buy bots to defend when the base is under attack, and limit the number of attacks that can be made each day.
I would pay for sure with a feature like this and many others will.

Again this could have been already suggested, but you asked my opinion with loading screens so dont blame me :P

Hmm... I'd actually say that throughout most of the game's history, it has been far more PvP combat oriented than anything else. The problem is that there haven't been many game elements that direct you into PvP; mostly players have just designated certain areas as "combat sectors" and duke it out in those sectors. CtC (Capture the Cargo) has been going on for a long time, but pretty much the only way to learn about it & how to participate in it is from other players. The Border Patrol mission also encourages PvP, but it's only available around the Itani/Serco border, so unless you happen to be in that area you might not learn about it.

Conquering stations is on the Soontm list, as is allowing players to have some control over how stations are run, I believe. Already players can form Guilds, although I'd like to see a few improvements with how the guild system works. As for forming new nations, that I'm not so keen on, there's already three nations in the game, that the backstory has been built around, and having players creating new nations would just end up with lots and lots of tiny nations, many of which would probably have no relation to the backstory.

Allowing players to get involved in their nations politics & leadership is something that has been suggested, and Incarnate said he did want to do something like that, but it might be a while.

About reposting suggestions, it's not too big a deal. Check the "PLEASE READ PRIOR TO POSTING A SUGGESTION" thread, and if it's not listed there you'll probably be OK suggesting it.

for most of the games history it's been primarily a deathmatch oriented game, partly due to lack of co-op content, but also due to the player base it's self who like the pvp action. Since the game does not have specific roles for you to assume at the start and lets YOU choose what you want to do it's up the the player base to forge roles and work together to accomplish activities.

Obsidian, one of our wonderful guides, sponsors mining expeditions where players are pitted against pirates to see if they can mine ore in botted sectors while surviving attacks. There are also the weekly Capital Ship battles held in Sedina B-8, and occasionally there are races held at the race tracks. There are also the boarder patrol missions though that is less scheduled and can be done solo as well.

But your right that the game needs more player intereaction, other the pvp fighting. Hopefully with the new update soon™ to come, there will be more reason, and opportunity to group up and fight WITH players to achieve a goal (like destroying a stronghold or a bastion, or even a Leviathon if enough man power is mustered).
