well since i found this new program but im not that good at it and im sure some people have it but go to www.wings3d.com and its fun and a great way to make ships ect and maybe there should be a contest

well i didnt see that but as people get better lisences there will need to be more ships soon

you would think so, and we're suppost to have player controled capital ships and frigates and all sorts of stuff, but like everything takes time, and so we do not.

If it takes time, it doesn't get added. Only quick fixes seem to make the cut now adays.

There's a lot more to making a ship than just throwing together a mesh model in Wings 3D. You need to create a high-poly model, the different LOD meshes, the collision mesh, the 5 different textures (plus whatever they use to set up the dynamic texturing), then you need to actually create and balance the ship's stats...

and… it's not like it can't be done though, just takes some time and effort. There are lots that have offered to put that time in.

ive been getting used to the program and all and experiminting and i was looking at what people have made and i think if you really get some determined people it can be done

and if anyone had any tips for the program i would appriciate it a lot

I agree.I think there should be a place were you can "hand in" your ship designs with some basic information on its stats.
